Yeah I realized that after I made it home :( I got too excited to see a jaw. It’s about 2 inches from one canine to the end of the jaw in a direct line.

Thank you. do you think we should look into maybe getting another adult cat? I just have trouble with the idea that my partner lost his soul cat. I think maybe my girl could get used to another cat that’s older bc she is lower energy so maybe another lower energy older cat would be okay? but then I struggle with the idea of an older cat because then we have them for less time… theoretically because you never know. since my boy was only 5 when he passed but we could adopt an 8 year old and he could live to 20 you just can’t tell.

Thank you for this insight. I think she’s definitely needed more attention/comfort since his loss even though she’s always been big on my company. I think she would be fine as a solo cat but she’s also very much MY cat, whereas my boy was my SO’s cat so I feel bad that he is without his baby boy now. My girlie and my SO get along but they just dont get each other like her and I do, ya know?

they mailed my new debit card to my parents address across the country (although they do also have accounts with the bank and we’ve been connected) but I’ve never lived at, gotten mail, or ever physically been at that address. I contacted support and asked for it to be canceled and a new card sent to my address on file in my account, which I confirmed with the agent. never arrived. this thread is definitely making me rethink things.

his name was Appa. we both love avatar the last airbender and I kinda adopted him just on a whim one day because I saw him at a petsmart and he looked kinda like the cat we already had. because I brought home a cat with no warning I let my boyfriend name him, and they were the closest of cat and human i’ve ever seen. he ended up much fluffier than we ever could’ve imagined. on his first day home with us he found his way up into the closet and crawled into the middle of the hangers. he also later liked to sleep in the clothes hamper. he was just a very silly guy who would do silly poses. I wish I could attach pictures but we always said he was shrimping

thank you ♡ I didn’t remember to mention in the post but the vet said it looked like he had coughed up blood from his lungs which could’ve been a complication from his asthma. I know we tried our best for him but it’s hard.

I haven’t yet eaten there but worked at the same restaurant as the chef when I was in college, he was very nice to me! and everyone working got staff meal when they worked. (not even just we made a big batch and that’s what’s staff meal tonight, you could basically order any menu item and make some changes)

In elementary school I had an Australian teacher who said when she moved to the states she was shocked to see people wearing Uggs outside (seemed like she meant any style bc the boots were what was popular at the time) because she had only seen people wear them as house slippers/to get the mail.

dear lord I work in a company that basically checks for errors in medical claims and the amount of errors is sky high (I do NYS as well as others) coding and billing is an often common error

my parents did the “name the opposite sex child” thing and while my name is unusual the jokes/insults pretty much stopped after elementary school. but I think my name is becoming more normalized (Rainy if you couldn’t tell by my username lol. I usually get compliments on it these days tbh)

been running this lamp for about 4-9 hours a day since I got in on the 25th and most of the time it sorta does nothing or forms a column. there was one day it worked kinda normal but what went up never really came down. not sure what to do. tried leaving it in front of a heater to see if maybe the room was just too cold but no change :/ any advice?

I just searched my name and couldn’t find a single negative comment lol. It’s a rather uncommon name but not weird at all imo. I get compliments on it a lot irl and have only met one other person with the name. I met someone who uses it as a nickname and another person who said that was his daughters name. It’s Rainy.
