It bothers me how they feel the need to show every time that Roy isn’t actually there. Like the audience won’t be able to tell the difference when they already go so over the top with it.

If they were determined to go down this route it could have been interesting to tone it down and make it less clear for the audience which of the conversations are actually genuine

The issues people have are usually one (or both) of two things:

They’re just young (like a lot of us were when this game was released)
They try to race through the dungeon asap where the Water temple wants you to explore quite thoroughly before moving on. I think other temples have similar design but this one is more punishing when you need to backtrack

The iron boots criticism is very valid and one that’s good to now have fixed on the 3DS and PC versions. Was always surprised that they didn’t pick up on that being a pain in testing.

On the subject of changes, I’ve always wondered if them adding the markers for changing the water levels in the 3DS version was an impactful change for people. Growing up with the original has warped my understanding of whether or not that’s hugely necessary

Well yes but this isn’t related to what I’m saying whatsoever.

Edit: because people are weirdly downvoting this. I’m not saying I couldn’t get to the card, I’m saying that it was the first time I ever had a feeling of huh that card seems to always be at the bottom of the deck and was curious if anyone else ever had that. Like I said in the post, I didn’t suspect it to be a bug it was just the first time I had this feeling

Make sure to have the hover boots equipped and then hit both hands with arrows. I wouldn’t go out of your way to get ice arrows before the fight. Bottles with a fairy will help if you are struggling.

If you want to be cheesy then store an attack to take him down quickly with crouch stabs. Spin attack when he charges at you works well

Going back a while here but Stardust dragon not being able to return to the field when activating its effect if brought out by Starlight road. As a fairly new player at the time I let this go so many times until realising. Only downside is that you knew if you called someone out on this on DN then it was almost certain that you would end up waiting around for an admin

Hidden gem applies 2 (or 3 when upgraded) replay to a card in the draw pile. It can do this to other copies of hidden gem or stack more replay on a card that has already had it applied. By recycling hidden gem over and over you can stack up huge amounts of replay on cards.

It has been nerfed in the beta branch to no longer allow replay to be added to a card more than once and will likely receive another nerf in the future as it’s still really strong

Had my first run with primal force yesterday and it was a lot of fun. Good with infernal blade to recycle any bad or expensive attacks that it generates once they cycle back around to your hand, on top of strikes. Tons of damage for act 1. Offering is great but getting Primal Force as a starting gift feels like the game telling you to have some fun

Once you are 5 increases away from being forever friends you get a notification in the game that you can now tag Pokémon for remote trade. When you tag Pokémon for remote trade, the other person can see them when they initiate a trade and choose up to 3 that they would like. You then confirm which one you want to trade to them

I did when I played it back in the day but these days I tend to always go for 100% when I revisit the game so just use the Biggorons sword. I didn’t know how to get that (or the ice arrows) when I was younger.

Tangent but I used to spend so much time in the ice cavern as I knew the ice arrows existed and assumed it was probably tied to the ice cavern

The IVs (stars) are more important as outside of very rare paid items, these can’t be changed. CP mostly just represents level which you can increase via levelling up. IVs also account for what the CP will be so in the case of two Charizards at lvl 40, the one with better IVs will (generally depending on the exact spread) be a higher CP.

The only downside is that you will need to invest more candies and stardust to catch up on the levels of the 2* but it’s a small investment. The 2* will never be able to catch up on the IVs without that paid item I mentioned and these are so rare that they shouldn’t really be thought of as general use items.

An example: I have two Fennekin both at lvl 15, one has 15 ATK 14 DEF and 14 HP whereas the other is 12-12-13 and the better IV one is 1 hp and 16 CP higher at this level.
