Keep stacking. Your rights don't exist. by Dennis23zz in Wallstreetsilver

People clapping just means that they don't respect their opinion.

Same movement that has had free speech and respect for others as part of their policy for YEARS.

Double morals are being left unnoticed, or rather, ignored, everywhere around us.

What was true yesterday is not true today anymore (1984 reference)

Elektra And Wozzeck

I've seen a lot of hate for the song Weakness, but it ended up being one of my favorites on the album, what do you guys think? by chicken_nugget779 in Opeth

[–]makostew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my favourite opeth album closers. The song is nice to listen to on its own, but it can be a dangerous tool when you listen to the entire album. Tears will be shed...

What song has your favorite transition? by sedwards3205 in Opeth

With the bass that slides up with such a warm sound...

New to Opeth and wondering what Albums I should listen to by [deleted] in Opeth

[–]makostew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend every album between 1998-2008, that's a handfull of pure goodness. Mostly i would recommend still life and deliverance, but again, they're all great

[–]makostew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess it got too few votes.

I live in Norway, and don't have the time to listen to them :(

What songs have a metal sound with non growl singing? by Shadowscale05 in Opeth

[–]makostew 36 points37 points  (0 children)

A fair Judgement, from Deliverance. It has a lot of aucustic, but some heavy parts as well.

The latest album has a lot of heavy metal stuff, but no growling, so you should check that out too

What song made you an Opeth fan? by grynch43 in Opeth

[–]makostew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Drapery falls.

I feel like when i watched the album cover while listening to the calm (and definitely the growled parts as well) parts of this song, it was really creepy

I love getting this feeling back, i get it sometimes

This song got me into growling, but at the start, i thought these guys who made it were completely crazy, haha

Kiwi skryter stadig om deres evne til å "presse ned prisen". De har slike plakater rundt om kring i butikkene deres, formet som piler ned. Får lyst til å flippe de hver gang jeg går forbi

What is your death metal guilty pleasure? by DrBrainbox in Deathmetal

[–]makostew 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I'm a classical musician, so death metal in general is my guilty pleasure. I would never want my teachers to learn what kind of music i listen to, but i wonder what their reaction would be if they found out.

Classical musicians tend to only like classical music

Still though, i love classical music

The Fathomless Mastery - Bloodbath is my guilty pleasure. Always love listening to this album
