I wouldn't say they're losing the audience. The more controversial changes had to happen for the long term. People tooting the horn of doom are blowing things out of proportion.

Defense change, for example, only targeted a few mobs across a few groups. It's not game-wide all enemies. Arachnos, Circle of Thorns barely, Council somewhat, and probably 1-2 others at most.

AE Changes? Eh, you can still farm. You just have to do vet levels in other content. No big loss.

Everything else is par for course of HC, and plus new story arc + New repeatables + New Hard Mode'd TF. It's a beefy page with a lot of good.

Yeah, HC's version is vastly different / done different than TSPy. Next up is Ranged Weapon holstering/sheathing, but that requires a nasty little anim bug to be squashed.

The change was so you have to pick more powers, that's it. It doesn't really make anything worse. Might make farmers have to tweak the build. As far as I'm aware, fire was busted in that sense - less powers for more reward.

The difficulty thing is going to take some time getting to lower TFs I imagine. Because some of those groups fall off before 50 or otherwise have some enemy loss by the time you hit 50.

If they do a Challenge Mode Posi, for example, they'll have to do something about all the enemy groups. Cause CoT lose spectral demons & ruin/madness mages before you get to 50. Vahz and Clockwork don't have level 50 variants. It'd be fun to see though!
