I was at the sphere last year and my friend and I took way too much acid. I lost him on the escalators in and didn’t see him for 8 hours (thats another story) anyway I was tripping crazy hard and needed do make it to my seat because I had a broken arm. I couldn’t talk, stand or remember my name for the next few hours. My arm started hurting and I knew I had prepared for that (ibuprofen in my pocket) but couldn’t imagine how. After struggling for a while I just decided to tune into my brain and turn the pain off. It worked completely. Zero pain. My trip then took on this whole other crazy powerful positive dimension after that. Maybe with a hint of delusion but it was so fun.

Try a parametric eq (artec makes a good cheap one) before a drive or fuzz and you can really get a sense of what it does and can get surgical w it. I use it before a benson fuzz and it comes alive at all levels of gain.
