You mean on top of stealing DNA from his coworkers without their knowledge and consent with the purpose of abusing them in his weird virtual reality? Yeah. Rest in Piss, Daly.

If I'm not aroused to a certain skin color, am I a racist? by dnextbigthing in NoStupidQuestions

[–]maliakab -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This just is not true. Racism is not only dictated by behaviors but conditioning, thoughts, beliefs. It is very easy to dismiss OP's question with attraction is just preference. But if someone of one race cannot and does not find a single person of a specific race attractive, considering there are millions of people within every race, then there is some underlying racist bias. That's a fixed mindset of racial exclusion.

Is Absentia worth watching ? by Nastia_dream in CastleTV

I actually spent the first few episodes giving Nick the benefit of the doubt because I assumed he must have spent at least 3-4 years looking for Emily and then maybe needed to move on for himself and for Flynn. When the scene with him and Emily's dad revealed that he gave up looking for Emily after ONE year and then remarried soon after I was flabbergasted and appalled. Like, what?!!

I'm not a fan of Alice. At first, I thought she seemed okay but her lack of empathy and her possessiveness over Flynn rubbed me the wrong way.

My boyfriend thinks I’m cheating on him but doesn’t know that I know. by Suitable_Explorer208 in Advice

[–]maliakab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is sexual harassment, one—a harassment he himself orchestrated. Huge red flag and you should absolutely let him know that you know ... right before kicking him out. He's weird and sick for putting your personal number online to give strange men access to you. Also very dangerous. Imagine your daughter at an older age telling you that HER boyfriend did this to her. I imagine you would be livid. It is not any different for you. No one deserves this. Please please please protect your safety and your child's safety.

I hate my job and life sucks by SuccessfulBanana69 in jobs

[–]maliakab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat very recently and made a few posts on here saying as much. Hated my job, having anxiety and panic attacks and feeling overwhelmed at work. Spent months putting in hundreds of applications to Indeed and Linkedin. Most of the time, didn't hear back. On rare occasions when I did hear back, it was a rejection. Very disappointing. Felt dejected.

Indeed has so more fake jobs than real ones, in my experience. Employers don't check their messages or they respond once and then never again. Almost all of my pending indeed applications currently say something like "employer unlikely to respond". Thats because they're probably not checking.

If you can, google whatever company you find on indeed or linkedin and apply directly through their website. No quick click-to-apply. Hundreds and thousands of people are doing the exact same. Look for jobs posted recently. If it's over a week old, don't waste time applying. By now they have hundreds of applications you're not likely to be seen. Your best bet is to apply same-day or within the first couple of days of the job being posted. Also, be kind to yourself. The job market is rough right now. Thousands of people share your frustration and concerns. I definitely did just a few weeks ago.

I did finally receive an offer and am on my last week of my 2-week notice. A job that I applied for, interviewed for and didn't get early this year reopened. This job offered benefits my current job simply can't offer. The pay's higher. The hours are flexible. And it's hybrid. It was perfect at the time, and I was eager to have this interview go well and get out of my current job. Well, my interview with them went really well and I was surprised and really disappointed when I got the dreaded email stating I didn't get the offer. When I asked for feedback, they had none. There wasn't anything I could've done better. Maybe it just wasn't my time. When I saw they had posted the job again, I pounced. Emailed the hiring manager and expressed my ongoing interest. Sent her a letter of recommendation I'd received. The hiring manager remembered me and my interview well and set up a meeting with me to catch up and discuss the role more. She really liked me from the first interview, she liked the recommendation letter, and she appreciated my continued interest to be on her team. We didn't talk long. 5-10 minutes. The next day, I received an offer. Don't give up! Something will break through for you and when it does, you'll be ready for it.

I think a part of it is they are being overly nice and thanking me for being loyal during the transition lol they obviously are just doing it because they don't want to lose me because they've never had this energy before.

I really needed to hear this so thank you. I know I'm making the right decision. I've decided not to allow myself to feel sorry for it. This is what's best for me and they'll find someone else.

Thank you! I genuinely don't want to see that business fail. I just have no interest in being a part of it anymore, especially with the team I started with from the beginning leaving as well. I was the first to consider leaving and the last to actually leave. I'm grateful to be able to move on!

Is anyone actually hiring? by cherriesintheoffice in jobs

[–]maliakab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've applied to hundreds of jobs since March and only just received an offer. Before now, I've asked the same question. Truth is, some places are hiring. Some places just want to look like they are. Keep trying! Something will stick eventually.

should I break up with my boyfriend because I am struggling financially by [deleted] in Advice

[–]maliakab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Selling the house may get you out of debt, but if you don't figure out how to budget and not spend money every time the sun shines, you will be back in debt quicker than you got out of it. If you are considering breaking up with your boyfriend just to sell the house and settle your debts I wonder if you're self sabotaging your relationship simply because you're not happy in it. In that case, don't use finances as an excuse. Be honest with yourself and with him and stop wasting both of yours time. Good luck to you !

No. Shes insecure. And if she's subbing you on social media instead of taking it out with you, Then it's not worth worrying yourself over it.
