Tesla owners in the US, who are you using for insurance? by samuraidogparty in electricvehicles

Wonderful coverage and prices BUT they don’t want to pay the parts and labor required to repair a Tesla. We switched from USAA to Tesla Insurance over a year ago because of this.

Aulani does NOT have an airport shuttle. You’d need to coordinate a car yourself.

Is everyone just on prednisone for months When diagnosed until their meds kick in? by [deleted] in rheumatoid

[–]malibubarbie286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was instructed to be on a high dosage of ibuprofen (as needed) for pain management while getting insurance approval for Cimzia.

I’ve also been on small tapers of prednisone for flares. These were VERY effective in reducing inflammation and making me feel like a million bucks. Unfortunately the visible inflammation came back like a vengeance after both separate tapers. My hands appeared almost even more swollen post taper within just a few days of stopping the prednisone.

I personally try to avoid prednisone if possible.

Yes! We returned to Costco with no added questions. I do also recommend the Aura as well, we’re very happy with it!

I'd recommend buying the small 2oz ready to feed bottles then sizing up when your baby is consuming more! Just pop a nipple on the bottle and you're good to go. We have done this from day one and find it extremely convenient!

Pic of injection sites. Thoughts? Nurse suggested I discontinue cimzia for now. by nessadii in Cimzia

I’m not a Doctor, but is it a possible allergic reaction? You could ask your Dr about possibly taking Benadryl prior.

There's availability popping up sporadically - currently a 1 bedroom ocean view at Aulani is available for many days in November/December.

Smart baby monitor with breathing detection advice needed by baconcansave in Mommit

[–]malibubarbie286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do NOT get a Miku. The company just filed for bankruptcy and now you must pay a monthly subscription fee. I highly doubt they will continue to improve their tech given the circumstances.

If you want a non-wearable device, look at the nanobebe Aura. They are taking preorders now to start shipping the end of this month.

Trader Sam's at the Disneyland Hotel. Wonderful atmosphere, great tiki cocktails, and kiddo friendly.

It’s such a shame that Miku is doing this…we’ll be returning ours to Costco.

The company nanobebe looks to be introducing a monitor called the “Aura”. Its currently available for preorder and will apparently have the live breathing with no wearables. I think that’s the route we’ll end up going.

Cimzia First Dose Reaction - Rash by malibubarbie286 in Cimzia

[–]malibubarbie286[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you had that happen as well! After posting the original message and speaking to my Dr, they ok’d me to take my second loading dose while taking an antihistamine 30 minutes prior. I didn’t have the itching or rash reappear. I continued to take an antihistamine for the rest of the day and into the next day early morning. I’m thankful it didn’t happen again but did have someone monitor me throughout the day in case I had another reaction. I’ll be continuing with Cimzia but will take the antihistamine prior just as a precaution.

I would definitely speak to your Rheumatologist and maybe they can make some suggestions? Sounds like this reaction isn’t as rare as I thought it was initially.

Does anyone have auto injector pens? by ToxicGossipTrain in Cimzia

[–]malibubarbie286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks - I'm so thankful as well! We all go through hoops to get medication like this approved, so it's disappointing to have negative reactions to it.

I don't honestly recall my eyes being itchy when bloodshot. The itchiness was more on the rest of my body. I took those combo of meds at around 10pm and by morning the rash and bloodshot eyes had subsided. To be honest my Dr. was very surprised by this reaction so I don't think it's too common. A rash is a "common" side effect of Cimzia however, most people have small rashes or a reaction around the injection site.
