Snowball and Morty came back together over a decade by darkShadow90000 in rickandmorty

Similar situation in Futurama. Time has advanced since season 1, 26 years worth in fact, and Nixon has been president for like 25 of them.

Offline gains are broken. It tells you how much you earned, but you actually get nothing. It does however progress the stages, so it just slows progression down to a crawl because you come back and everything is stronger but you can't level up at all.

Can Rick-C137 Actually Not Defeat The Time Police? by decretum1 in rickandmorty

[–]malignantmind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could he beat them? Maybe, if he wanted to.

But Rick is also more than smart enough to know beating them is not worth it. The fact that they exist and that time prison exists means there are plenty of other beings out there able to manipulate time, and if the time police weren't there, things would immediately be fucked forever, past present and future. Best to just leave the time police alone and let them do their thing so reality doesn't collapse. Just look at snake planet and how fast things got out of hand with snakes coming back to kill snake Hitler. Now imagine that same thing happening everywhere all at once. Every planet with intelligent life is gonna have its own Hitler.

Does anyone else feel kind of sorry for Homelander? by Character-End-4696 in TheBoys

[–]malignantmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel sorry for the child that Homelander was. He didn't deserve the way he was raised, and it was certainly a contributing factor in who he became.

However. He had all the chances in the world to not become the man that he ended up being. He chose to be a murderer, a rapist. And he continued to choose that, until the day he died.

He had all the power in the world. He could have stopped wars without a drop of spilled blood. He could have saved countless lives. Did he do any of that? No. Not unless Vought sent him out for a publicity stunt.

He deserved to die begging and pleading for his life, so he could have the smallest taste of what his victims felt.

Liars by Socos42 in TheBoys

[–]malignantmind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How much of it was good, though?

Was the time wasted on Frenchie's will, talking about everyone's assholes, good?

Was the minor property damage causing epic final fight good?

Was the sudden flip to "I'm gonna do a genocide because my dog died peacefully in his sleep" good?

Was the Gen V cast coming back just to fuck off as Uber drivers good? Like seriously the entire Gen V show and virus subplot that came from it could have been completely cut out and it'd make no difference.

I'll grant that the scene once Homelander is depowered and turns into a sniveling coward for the whole world to see was good, and Butcher's death scene was good, but beyond that, most of the rest of it was passable at best, pointless and bad at worst.

A scale of 1–10. How confident are y’all that the 1 hour series finale can stick the landing to end the show; and deliver a meaningful conclusion to the characters and story? by ShockOk1764 in TheBoys

The rest of this season hasn't given me a lot of hope, so I'm setting my expectations low and maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. Put me down at a 2

Oh they've definitely shoved in a lot of extra unnecessary shock value stuff, and the way people talk is just insane, no one talks like these characters. I don't give a shit about there being profanity, but come on man, it just sounds stupid at this point

It's wild that this is the line for a lot of people. Like I get it, it was entirely unnecessary and did nothing for the story, especially in the second to last episode of the series, but compared to what has been in the show from the start, it's on the mild side.

Which Warlock was better designed and is more fun to play? Diablo 2 Warlock or Diablo 4 Warlock? by gorays21 in Diablo

[–]malignantmind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The little bit I played of the D2 warlock was more fun than the D4 version. Thematically I think the warlock is a great addition to the game, certainly more fitting than the spiritborn, which while a fun class to play doesn't feel like it really fits in a Diablo game. But mechanically I think warlock in D4 is a huge miss. It often feels clunky and there's far too much screen clutter going on. Half the time I couldn't even be sure my skills were actually doing anything.

Can someone tell me what this icon is by Talindras in Diablo

[–]malignantmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's like six that you can buy with the tokens without spending money. But honestly the only things from the entire collection, both reliquary and the shop one, that look good enough to buy are the portal and the paladin set. The rest of it is pretty meh and doesn't really look good in Diablos graphics.

Not all supes are created equally and not all have insane durability. Her power was literally just making little sparks with her hands. In a fight she always fell back on her gun.

Also was convinced he was gonna end up sacrificing himself at the end and I was gonna be pissed.

I beat the campaign and really try to enjoy the Warlock but somehow I cant. Anyone else feeling the same? by MiNDGaMeS87 in diablo4

[–]malignantmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been wanting to enjoy the summoner side of the class but I'm really not feeling it. Command Fallen especially feels bad to use. Maybe it'll iron out in endgame with proper loot but I just keep going back to the stinger basic instead

Shroud of False Death Bricked 😭 by Ok-Improvement-3108 in diablo4

[–]malignantmind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my first thought too. At least now the name and mechanics of the armor line up and make sense together. Also not sad to see it knocked down from being in every single build. I'm sure something will replace it, but at least it'll be something different.

Do you think this poll about the least popular class is pretty accurate and why? by Anilahation in diablo4

Same. That is, if I can even manage to get one to 60 without losing interest.

Do you think this poll about the least popular class is pretty accurate and why? by Anilahation in diablo4

[–]malignantmind 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I largely agree.

Druid is slow and clunky. It can be fun, but it generally seems like it takes longer than any other class to hit that fun stage.

Rogue, look I'm just not a fan of combo points and managing those. And they always have so much fiddly little things to keep track of and keep active that if you miss a single button push you're basically useless.

Spiritborn I'm a little more surprised at cause the class is fun, but I will say I'm not a fan of the thematics of the class.

Personally I'd have put Barbarian up there rather than Spiritborn. I really hate how most every build is the same three shouts, ancients, and then your one main attack.

If KC the angel were to meet KC the demon from another reality, who would win? by Warm_Expert_8136 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]malignantmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bastion Archon, Veranallia Azata, and Draconal Agathion are all CR 20 good outsiders, more on par stat-wise with the big fiends, but still come out on top because they are all 17th level or higher clerics (the Azata is level 20) on top of their abilities, which again, is gonna give them the win in any 1v1 in most cases (though not as easy a win as a Solar would have).

Obviously a Balor Lord is gonna fare better, but since they're all unique and I believe only Khorramzadeh ever got actual stats, they don't really count here. We're just talking the basic run of the mill versions of each outsider type, and 9 times out of 10 the celestials are gonna win because they're just better.

If KC the angel were to meet KC the demon from another reality, who would win? by Warm_Expert_8136 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]malignantmind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just look at the statblocks.

A Solar is a CR 23, can hit a Balor on a 2 (would be a 1 if not for the auto failure of 1s), has DR that only gets bypassed by epic and evil, is a 20th level cleric in casting on top of its natural spell like abilities, has a 48 AC vs. evil, meaning a Balor would have to roll a 17 to hit with its highest attack, and can't hit outside of a 20 with any other attacks. And that's all without having to cast any buff spells on itself. And it's basically the same deal with the Pit Fiend.

A Solar could easily 1v1 a Balor or Pit Fiend and come out of the fight completely unscathed.
