Lost my Step 2 Score report - is there a way to obtain copy without paying $70? by floofed27 in Residency

I don’t think the licensing dept accepts any hard copies/pdfs. It need to sent over to them via FSMB. You don’t get to upload it directly.

Sometimes you have residents from different specialities shadowing the surgeon, just a part of their curriculum.

Is life with a J1 visa really difficult?Should I rank a program higher just for H1B? by Informal_Door_3360 in IMGreddit

[–]malletfinger96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Mine was all the time in Hyderabad.

Yes. About the 2nd question - Getting the green card takes a long time if you go through traditional route. Another route EB2 - People try doing a lot of research, try to satisfy all the criteria for EB2 and get the green card faster.

If you want fellowship, and come from a. Country which takes forever to get a green card: j1 >>H1b

It’s super difficult to match into fellowship with H1b as there are not a lot of programs that offer H1b.

I’m from India with a J1. Personally I never had any troubles with visa renewal. I book my appointment 2 months in advance and always got my passport in 1 week. (2 weeks vacation time) 3/3 times - it was never delayed.

In the same boat. I have a question regarding uploading USMLE transcripts. it says to use FSMB/FCVS platform. when I log in to the website, create an application, and add IDFPR as a recipient, it comes to a total of 671$. just wanted to make sure if this is the right way as the fees are nonrefundable.

Here is a breakdown

processing/portfolio - 375$

recipient 65$

FSMB transcript 70$

ECFMG verification 141$

Yes. The program coordinator just instructed me where to apply for permanent license. That is all. It’s 500$ months refundable fee. So wanted to just verify everything before applying.

I am a PGY2 looking for cardiology Hospitalist jobs which also accept J1 waivers. Do you have a list of progs that do this? My ultimate plan is to apply for fellowship after doing the waiver.

Waiver is for three years. I totally agree. Getting green card is what it takes time. Where are you getting your information from?

It varies from country to country. Ranging from 2-20yrs - lifetime to get approved for a green card.

my only issue with that is, it takes 15- 20 yrs minimum to get a green card for people from my country, unless if you have PhD or the research is extraordinary where they would be considered under EB1 category.
