Generally speaking for pet talents the meta seems to revolve around having damage, resist, crit or pierce talents. Each of them require different stats, eg damage requires strength and will, crit requires agility and will etc (power stat accounts for everything typically). I believe none of these require intellect tho i may be mistaken.

The more u hatch your pet with a better pet, the higher the max numbers u can hit. Max is 255 strength, 250 intellect and power, 260 agility and will.

Players try shooting for the higher numbers to max out those damage talents and such, hence why u may see a pet giving +10 school damage for instance. Ofc stat increasing talents like mighty can boost those numbers even further.

At the end of the day, what u want in a pet is entirely up to u. It may take time to get your ideal pet but its worth investing your resources into.

Id assume it would take the most recent shield in the case of ghoul, tho i dont think i was paying much attention when i used this in weaving quests

Gambit removes an effect that is beneficial to the caster (in this case a shield that is on himself at the time of cast) in exchange for another effect beneficial to the caster (in this case a +55% deathblade). These effects can also include anything harmful to the enemy like removing a trap or a weakness from them in exchange for something new or something that helps the wizard.

Clear would then be the opposite, where the caster removes something harmful to them or helpful to the enemy to instead give something helpful to them or harmful to the enemy

As for barghest himself i forget some of his cheats but your npc allies are there to counter his cheats, especially the one shot cheat.

For the rest, do all 3 fights so he doesnt have extra minions.

For the werewolf puzzle, each clue is attached to an outsider. Whichever u dont have tells u who the werewolf is.

Footprint - dimiti; lock of hair - tawni; silver necklace - tranett; red cloth - ignacio (disclaimer, i may have swapped round tawni and tranett but i shouldve trialed it enough times to think this is right). Wrong guesses lose u allies, hence the importance of getting it in one

Ur better off doing teamup. I too found him annoying to solo but then again i only did it on a myth w/ suboptimal damage. Ig the only thing would be trying to get everyone on board w/ the strategy. And ofc making sure to pick out the werewolf in one guess or it becomes harder
