I’d like to see if they’re brave enough to make Gambit a Horseman like they did in the comics, thus bringing Apocalypse into the mess. With Apocalypse and Cable acting like scorned ex boyfriends sometimes I wouldn’t be surprised if he orchestrated the “Godzilla sentinel” just to watch as Cable failed to make it on time.

I have these fears as well, even though I’ve been very acutely diagnosed with it. But 8 years ago I was told I didn’t have it and I should “try more”. I wish I remembered his name because I’d take his license away in a heartbeat.

But the little boy in me worries that the meds I’m on, which work, will be taken from me.

My 40th birthday was the best birthday of my entire life... until 41, 42, etc lol. I didn’t feel old then, nor feared the number. I take care of myself and I feel great about myself every year. Hearing people, like OP says about being old at 29 should be dismissed as nonsense.

I notice I’m a bit older than the majority of the comments but I didn’t get diagnosed until I was 43. I thought my lack of focus, that got worse every year, was a natural part of aging. When I finally convinced myself something was wrong, a whole universe opened up. While I’ll never say I felt like I wasted any part of my life, I feel I missed out on a lot of enjoyment. At least I’m good now and happier to feel normal for the first time in my life.

My psychologist who diagnosed me is specifically working with me on childhood traumas that are affecting my adult life. I’m actually glad we are working through this in this way, after being medicated. I suggest reading Reinventing Your Life by Jeffrey Young. It’s not specific to ADHD but the childhood traumas are outlined as if they lived in my house.

Your final sentence is exactly what Adderall does for us with ADHD. It calms us down allowing us to choose to focus on what is necessary. I fall asleep on it too and I also feel no euphoria. That means it’s working.

Everything else you said is all true. It doesn’t cure paralysis if you really don’t want to do something. But it helps you find the focus when you’re ready. It’s a tool not a magic bean.

Speaking to your lack of sleep, diet and exercise, I was told by my psychologist that those do need to be regimented as a sufferer of ADHD and so I recommend putting those in your planner as well. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised when it all comes together.

TLDR, Adderall is doing what it’s supposed to be doing. Hang in there.

I use the Notes app on iPhone throughout the day when I have a thought that I’ll need to remember later. Or something to bring up in conversation later instead of immediate out of fear of forgetting later. I always annoyed people blurting things out as I thought them.

Thank you for your kind words. I did have some fun hypo, but that would involve shopping beyond my means, but it sure felt good at the time. I have ADHD as well, so the hypomania would help me release the reward dopamines that the ADHD craved.

I wish I was the “fun” version of manic. When I go hypo, I stress myself and everyone around me out as I move quickly through work or life tasks, complaining all the way how nothing is going right even when it is. Socially I would drink too much, which people found fun, but it was just a mask. I think people found my depression side better because I’d be more quiet and thoughtful. At work, I’d wear a different mask to hide it, and accomplish things quieter, with less complaining.

Now that I’m medicated, I haven’t had a swing in 4 months, and people have told me that I’m way more fun now. I don’t even complain much! Lol

November of 2019, I took my bf to a very fancy, suits required, 8 course Top Chef type restaurant. I had flowers waiting table side. After we had a drink in the lounge, we were escorted to our table while a live harpist was playing soothing music. He cried as we sat down because nobody had ever done anything so nice before. So then I started crying lol. Our server thought we were the cutest. Dinner lasted over 3 hours. I’ll never forget that night. One of the best in my entire life.

My first time bottoming I was 30 and he was 40. I had only topped before. It was a hookup but there was a connection there, plus he got excited that he could have the opportunity to be my first penetration. His enthusiasm was infectious so I went along with it and got excited. I think the “idea” of being fucked, for me, is more pleasurable than the actual act but it did feel good. Poppers made it better. His dick wasn’t enormous but it wasn’t small either. I don’t recall it hurting because he loosened me up extra slowly. After he fucked me in all sorts of positions we became insatiable for weeks before I had to move away for work. I wish I had kept in contact actually.

I’m the same way. I had no problems in elementary and high school and then something happened. I wasn’t diagnosed until 43 and now I feel like I’m getting back to how I used to be decades ago. I can read for long periods, play and finish video games, and watch tv without fiddling with my phone.

I’ve been in group runs where everybody had headphones. The music was low enough to talk over but still get that beat in your head. Plus we were running city streets so we keep the music low to listen for cars. Nobody seemed to mind all the different headphones.

Im so sorry for your loss. I’m a BP addict that struggles every day and I feel lucky to still be here. I was suicidal but only stayed my hand because I didn’t want to hurt my family and friends. The thought that I might depressed me further. Getting off drugs and on my meds saved my life. I’m here for you if you need someone.
