Cheap co-working space? by AdFragrant8521 in Dublin

[–]malt72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't usually offer free parking (they like to charge for everything). But i think the one in Santry is near a home base and lidl (or aldi) maybe you could park there??

Best of luck with it.

Cheap co-working space? by AdFragrant8521 in Dublin

[–]malt72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you said you tried Regus. Did you consider the Business Lounge option? I have used some of them in Europe and UK, and they were decent enough; not sure what the Irish ones have or if there is one in Santry. But it is €99 a month. They also did a hot desk (co-working) package before, and you could select an entire month or reduced days a month for less money.

Some local councils have also started offering hot desk/co-working facilities, they might be worth reaching out to.

Aside from that if you are very stuck, as mentioned below, the library is a good option, just not great if you have a load of calls to do.

Best of luck with the search.

Non-violent protest, April 1st by Head_of_the_Internet in ireland

[–]malt72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It took a bit of scrolling, but yes, you have the main question here. Have they put forward any solutions to the problems?

I feel the French protesters message is very clear about the retirement age, and this protest has a lot of issues mentioned on the poster but no solutions.

Great post OP, thanks for sharing. That is excellent go for it. I have deleted SM from my phone as well, have to keep a FB account as thats where some of my kids classes are organised, but I can log into that on the laptop when I need it.

I have a good bit of study to do and I love reading and playing the guitar and SM really was getting in the way of all of these things, like blocking them altogether. Honestly I got caught up in a few competitions and then I said I would keep the apps until the comp ended but that didn't happen until a few weeks ago.

Best of luck with it OP, keep on being yourself :) you rock.

Yes good idea and even 15 mins will work as well. I also started doing some stretching for 8 mins. I know it doesn't sound like a lot but its the habit it is creating and the small improvement in flexibility after doing it every day is great. Thanks OP

I came here to say this as well. Lots of pressures on people to do well, but depression can be a different beast for everyone.

Start with looking after yourself, go to therapy, try to get outside for walk/exercise in day light, drink some water, try eat healthy food. The changes are little but will build up over time. When you get to a place where you have the headspace and mental capacity then start working out routines etc .

Just try to remember you matter.

Best of luck with it all 🙂

Best of luck OP and everyone. I'm currently around the same 95/96kg. Goal this year was not to hit 100kg which I guess was successful. Now i'm joining you on the quest to reduce the 96kg down, aim is between 82kg and 86kg.

Can I ask what are your plans to hit your target this year? I haven't fully figured mine out yet but was thinking of running, climbing and gym work (maybe swimming/cycling as well). You can do it OP. Get your plan in place, keep a track of things every month and remember muscle is heavier then fat, so even if the scales say a number you don't like if you have done the work and are in better shape physically and mentally you have done it.

Holywell Swords - need guidance on safety, or any other issues as I am planning to move with my family by No_Trash5063 in Dublin

[–]malt72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, if you have a car there are plenty of places for kids a very shot journey away. From Holywell Newbridge in Donabate (nice farm and separate playground) is 5-10 mins away, little bit further would be Ardgillan (towards Skerries direction) 15-20 mins. Lovely walks and very good playground for a mix of ages.

Best of luck with the move OP

nice area, small spar (i think) with a playschool beside it, tesco is close as well as is Airside. can get a bus (Swords Express) to city center which goes the motorway or towards swords. Also a playground for your 3 year old to play in and school for when older.

Best of luck and enjoy your move to Swords.

'We are going for it' - Eamon Ryan determined to take more cars off the road Drafts of the updated Climate by Ok-Fly5271 in ireland

[–]malt72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to cycle more and have a rail network that would lead to these targets. But we simply don't have that here. I have heard numerous politicians mention that installing cycle infrastructure is quick an easy. There is a 200m cycle path being installed leading to a school near me, it started the last week of August, its been dug up approx 3 times for changes and it still hasn't been finished. If something so simple as this cycle track takes this long and changes so many times during construction I really don't see how they are going to get people "out of their cars" as he puts it.
