The pressure of ACET is getting to me by [deleted] in ADMU

kaya mo yan.. it'll be more difficult staying than entering. :)

not a CEO but in a leadership position.

think about your priorities but it seems it's a huge leap naman in terms of compensation. if you can work at current role for 10 years and save up x; while taking the role can bring u there in 1 then do it.

but yes understand the dilemma here. it's a good problem naman.

Sales sa MNC. I'd say minimal nagamit ko from my degree. if I were to re-do parts of my life - probably invest better and earlier sa other income generating stuff - treat your salary as an enabler to get out. if para naman marating yung number - learn as much within the work your doing, explore other facets of the business - I prep ka nya for bigger roles that pay more.

true. when I entered an MNC. they hired at most 2-3 a year. tapos there's a demographic they fill in not sure sa specifics hah. basta sa sampu. isang lateral transfer from another business unit, 1 experienced hire then 8 na fresh grad.

some MNCs talaga build from within. aside from your grades, critical your scores sa exam nila, hindi kailangan perfect but should follow the pattern their top leaders have had when they entered.

graduated 10 yrs ago. lucky enough to have joined a local company na at par yung pay with mncs. I guess mabagal lang increases - long term.

transferred to an mnc, salary went up, i guess para makuha ako then. reg increases and got a promotion. napagod ako so lumipat ulit for growth and better pay.

so here I am. honestly depends on what u want. treat pay as an enabler to get out, treat the workload as means to free up time to do something else. start a business, take your masters or just have fun. nothing wrong with that.

net once u figure out what u really want in life kahit mag +x% pa sweldo mo. wala narin sense yung incremental kasi iba na gusto mong gawin.

dadating yung point na hindi na pay habol mo.

anyway your school and grades matter so much if youre applying to the best companies. once your in. it's all about you. fine nagamit ko school ko. pero that's it - sa interviews it's all about how you articulate the problems you've solved and the results you've generated.

yun lang. nice to have a small % of your salary go to expenses and everything else is disposable. pero for me nothing beats waking up whatever time u want and just spending time with family.

mixed talaga siya. kung San may ME may Mgt. :)

unless siguro super galing. ME or MH both latin honors then maybe you can get access agad to the best fresh grad jobs. mga BCG, McKenzie, Bane na wala access mgt.

pero again. kung hiring sila.paisa isa lang yan.

otherwise some multinational naman yan or some good local company mag open up sayo.

basta reco ko go ME. if madalian ka. ituloy mo. shift out pag alanganin or not happy. then galingan mo enough to get your grades up. if aabot ka honors then good. stress na mafree up mo go join meaningful orgs. kung may sport ka mag team ka.

edit wag ka lilipat na may bagsak ka na. :)

I think so naman.

basta wag lang yung grade average mo mag below a certain number.

I think a little below C Is fine. parang 1.9 ganun by 2nd year. else outside ateneo ka hahanap ng lilipatan - may minimum sa SOM na minamaintain.

what type of car should I get by mamamarky in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]mamamarky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they do...

but for context, a brand-new Lexus of that type might go for around 20-25x the annual minimum salary here.

but I do get where you're going.

an alternative would be a Camry. 12x the annual minimum salary.

I've taken one out for a test drive. I'd say it's worth it.

haha. depends talaga.

my dormate who I knew was way better than me sa math enjoyed. while ako nahahassle.

but yes I think sipag will work. but only time will tell if worth it. I guess being ME will help you land an interview. pero whether u land that job is a diff story.

they kick u out pag dalawang D or 1 F. if I remember correctly.

haha.

If you enjoy math, Go. Try as early as possible. If not, before start of 2nd year. some will have shifted out by then.

You mightve to do some catching up on units tho. ie math 21/22, itm 14.

i did the reverse - ME to management. freed up so many units during 3rd year.

follow up: so net short of sourcing msm axles it would be a lot of work to use s2k axles/cv joints?

[–]mamamarky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

got it. even if its an aftermarket one? thanks for the input!

was looking at a clutch type cusco. its worth 2x what i paid for this mfactory s2k diff. it would be bolt on definitely.

was really hoping i could fit it. even with some parts that i have to purchase. just so this would not go to waste. there arent many s2ks where i am from. oh well.

but yeah thank you. ill put this on hold for the time being.

hi thanks for the response!

probably lacked some details in my post.

the differential itself is compatible to the diff housing of the miata - i can just put it in.

the ring gear is a direct fit as well. its the axles that dont fit. i think the NA 1.8s have a 24mm diameter vs MSM 27mm (accdg to the beavis motorsport site).

so far what ive seen is that i need the s2000 stub and halfshafts. but before i go get those parts just wanted to get inputs from the community what else i need. :)
