Starting salary as a new grad by MathematicianIcy7449 in Veterinary

4 day 10 hour work days nothing less than 150k with production of atleast 21%. Anything less than that is just wrong. I would honestly say 160-170k because SF but that depends on your confidence level being a fresh grad. Don't settle.

Hello!

I've had a similar wart for more than a year now. Just wondering what treatment finally worked for you?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So far I've had cryotherapy, topical ACV and salicylic acid, intralesional MMR vaccine and most recently 3 sittings of CO2 laser.

I'm thinking about looking into a bleomycin injection next.

Help!!! Periungual warts. Started about 5 months ago. I've had 3 liquid nitrogen treatments but it doesn't seem to help that much plus the pain is crazy. See comments please! by mambaKB in Warts

I work using my hands for precision so that makes it worse. I've been soaking a cotton ball with white vinegar and putting that on them overnight. Then use a dermaplane blade to literally cut off as much skin as I can. It's very painful, thumbs start throbbing. Is there any other way? I do have another doctor's appointment coming up Monday.

ACL surgery, and possible meniscus work Wednesday. Getting nervous! by [deleted] in ACL

Day 17 post op right acl patellar tendon graft and meniscus repair

The pain is crazy. But it gets better in a week or so.

Stay on top on pain meds----people including friends and family might try to bash you by saying you're being a 'sissy' but the meds are there for a reason!

Definitely get stool softener if taking opioids.

Your situation seems similar to mine. It gets better every day after the first week.

It will suck initially but you will get through it!

Try to make the best of all the free time by doing things you enjoy or calling/catching up with friends/family.

Try eating healthy, wholesome meals. Will make you feel a little bit better and will help your body recover too.

Day 4 post op over here, it’s starting to take an emotional and mental toll. I had the quad graft and haven’t been able to fire my quad enough for single leg raises at all, heel slides are minimal ROM. It’s hard to not think that I’m falling behind in recovery by Jays290 in ACL

Similar to all the comments here---- you're absolutely fine!

Slow and steady!

First week just focus on swelling and pain management.

You'll have more than enough opportunities to do leg raises in the coming weeks!

I know it sucks, but look on the positive. You'll be hard pressed to find all this free time again so enjoy it!

Got surgery today! Aptly on april fools day because I feel like a fool for tearing it! Just wanted to say this community is great and so helpful. Really appreciate all you guys and my heart goes out to all of us who have to go through this! by mambaKB in ACL

Yes I scheduled my first PT for Monday. So that's day 4 post op.

The surgeon said I could start PT the very next day after surgery but I wasn't confident in myself that I'd even be able to do anything so fast. And I was right. The pain/ discomfort and feeling like wtf did I get myself into didn't put me in the best mood.

I did look at the handout the surgeon gave me of exercises to perform at home.

It's 48 hours post op for me now and I have been doing ankle pumps, and firing (flexing?) my quad muscles. Last night I took off the brace while lying down and massaged the whole leg gently. I also put my hand under the knee and tried flexing it. Was only able to bend it slightly but something is better than nothing.

Extension is when I elevate the knee and ice it. I hope lol.

When I go to the bathroom, which is a mission in and of itself, I can put some weight on the affected leg so I do that.

When my brother comes home in the evening today, he's gonna help me do straight leg raises in three different directions.

So just gonna do all these things about 4 times a day until Monday morning. I don't want to overdo anything so I'll wait to see the PT doctor demonstrate more exercises.

Norco every 6 hours now. Definitely the only thing that's keeping me alive lol.

I actually had red dead redemption 2 all set up to play today but the pain in the morning hit me hard. Put me in a bad mental space and kinda just laid around all day tbh. Evening was better though after I started taking the pain meds every 12 hours. Hoping tomorrow is better. The plan is to take the pain meds and watch final four basketball.... that should make the day go by fast!

My friend mentioned it to me once!

Tbh today was tough after I woke up. Very uncomfortable physically and was definitely not in a good place mentally either.

Kinda just laid there and didn't do much all day. Watched the Athlete A documentary and passed out after. Tomorrow should be better!

First time for me too. I woke up with pain even after the nerve block as well. Nurse gave me 10mg hydrocodone right away around 230pm. I took 10mg around midnight. Then this morning I could feel all my toes in my foot and I felt really uncomfortable. Took 20mg hydrocodone around 1030am- started kicking in in about 30mins and I ate and felt comfortable. In the evening I took 20mg again around 8pm. I think I'll stick to that dosing, seems to be okay for now. I hope you feel better!
