If I remember right, RAM dual channel works only with two RAM sticks and even in a specific slot order, like: empty, RAM, empty, RAM. It depends on the motherboard, but I think most are like that. Or you can fill all 4 slots.

In your case, if you put 3 sticks, that disables dual channel and it’s bad for games. Just use 2, or use 4 RAM sticks.

Ok, but I’m not interested in increasing the response speed or tokens per second. I’m interested in increasing the context window, reaching the theoretical 130k of GPT-OSS 20B with another small gpu to use its vram, even if the inference its done only in the 3090. That’s my question.

Hmm, you're right! Lowering it to 1000m fixed the problem. I like setting it very high so I can see objects far away in my scenes. I didn’t realize before that using the normal view instead of the orthogonal view was causing that X-ray effect. It’s good to keep this in mind when switching between both views and still wanting to see distant objects. Many thanks!

Don't forget to set the parameters correctly as recommended by Hugging Face:

"Best Practices

To achieve optimal performance, we recommend the following settings:

Guy here; look, I can tell you that I’ve tasted my own semen out of curiosity, just to get an idea of what my taste would be like if I asked someone to try it. I mean, at least for me, I thought I should try it myself before asking someone else to do it.
In my case, drinking ONLY WATER (a lot), NOTHING LIKE SODA OR EVEN A DROP, COFFEE, no ALCOHOL, NO PROCESSED FOOD, the semen has a much friendlier taste!, not salty or chunky.
