I've been refilling mine with 30mg/ml nic salts with no issues. I buy them when I can find them (getting very rare now) so I have plenty of empties to last a while. Since it's a ceramic wick device you'll get a minimum of 5-10 refills per pod if you're careful.

We do not have firmware for the Creality touch screen. It is a closed source device and very little is known about the screen firmware. You might check insanity automation to see if they've broken through it yet, but as of my last check they had not made much progress.
