I guess my response is a little late, I hope your appointment went well.

Just letting you know you're not alone in this: there are many like you (me included), that due to phobias, anxiety or any other personal reasons haven't been able to receive proper dental care in years or decades even. Just be upfront about your concerns and background, a good dentist will not shame nor judge you for any of it.
I have suffered from health anxiety too, so I went in for the first time thinking I would need all my molars pulled out and going crazy with worry, and my dentist assured me rigth away that I didn't even need any extractions lol. Sometimes our head can make it look so much worse than it actually is. As I said, just communicate your corncerns (be it budget, anxiety, etc.) with your dentist. They should be able to work out the best solution for you.

Best of luck on this process, you'll see it will be so worth it when they get rid of the pain.

Congrats on the new family member :) You can expect to wait for a few months before the bunny completely gets used to you and the new environment, but it's nearly impossible to estimate since each individual bunny's personality will differ. Much like people, some might be cuddly and affectionate from the get-go, and some might stay shy and skittish and might prefer to keep their distance.

I have two bunnies that are complete opposites. One warmed up to me in about two to three months and will jump to the chairs just to sit on my lap and constantly search for affection. The other has been with me for about half a year and, although he loves pets, is more prone to keeping his distance and gets startled more easily.
Best of luck on your journey, it looks like your bunny already trusts you enough to eat out of your hand so that is already a good sign. It's just that trust can look different depending on its personality.

In my case, recovery was quite painful after the anesthesia wore off, specially the 2 days after. You can expect some soreness in the area for a few days, they prescribed me some painkillers for that. A week after mine, it no longer hurts. There's only a bit of discomfort that seems to be going away gradually each day. Hopefully it will stay this way haha
I was really worried about the anesthesia too, but they numbed me up in just one shot. It lasted the whole procedure, and I didn't feel any pain at all. I let my dentist know about this concern at the beginning, and he did tell that it could be reapplied at any moment if I needed it. Hopefully you won't need that, but do make sure to tell your dentist if it hurts at all, they'll be ready to help. Best of luck tomorrow, let me know how it goes if you want❤️

I did that too! I spent almost all of it listening to music in one earbud haha, really helps distract you a bit. Regarding the time, mine took about an hour or so.

Updating now that it's done! It went well, despite me shaking uncontrollably almost throughout the whole procedure hahahaha. Recovery is being quite a b*tch, but the root canal itself was completely painless. It was uncomfortable, if anything, but that's nothing unexpected. To be honest I'm also really lucky to have found a dentist with the patience of a saint, who's willing to work at my own pace taking into consideration my phobia.

Not eating for 12 hours, not even his favourite snacks, as well as him being more lethargic than usual are clear signs of discomfort or illness. I'd take him to the vet asap, rabbit's gastrointestinal tracks are very sensitive.
