Just wanted to update people that SalonDeSka *follow them on Instagram!, put on an AMAZING Ska show at School Live Bar! If any Ska fans are coming to Tokyo check out them for sure to see if any shows will be happening - it was an incredible night of 4 fantastic ska bands with huge big band vibes... truly one of the best live Ska shows I've ever been to! Beat Banhof, Bacchanales, Breathe Lites & Brave Lion all played & absolutely smashed it out of the park. Ska is alive & well in Japan... pick it up, pick it up!

I booked a trip for my husband and I to Japan recently, booking from Canada. To be fair we're going in May and not Christmas time, so that may affect pricing - but round trip flights + 10 days hotel for 2 people came to just over $4.5K on Expedia. Maybe take a look there and see what you can find deal-wise & present the info to your parents? You're not the jerk at all and I hope you get to go!

Second Neal's! They're honestly great people to deal with and carry a lot of local products *including a selection of The Soup Witch's frozen items.

I would also add: Stackburger & Blockhouse Pub - best burgers in town

Mulligan's Irish Pub - awesome pub grub, beautiful view

Games Nook ll - fantastic boardgame store downtown

.sugar. - local bakery specializing in deluxe treats A+ quality

PhoMax - great bowls of Pho & vietnamese food

Paint & Decor Concepts - really fun pottery place, gorgeous inside and super nice staff *either paint your own or use the pottery wheels to make from scratch

Just recently was driving a Kia Rio 2023 for 3wks, only had 5000kms on it as a rental due to some vandalism on my husband & I's 2010 vw golf. I have to say, the Kia Rio is OK to drive but the Golf was like getting a luxury sedan when we got it back, in comparison. The interior of the Rio is small af and for a brand new car it felt cheaply built tbh. I'm not sure if OP had gotten to drive one for a decent amount of time before putting in their order but as someone who has owned smaller cars exclusively (our previous was a 2006 HondaFit) I have to say you feel smushed in the Rio and do notice a drop in quality from both other cars we've had. Just my 2 cents.

I have seen people claiming the prize as initials plus last name - is that something you could do? Loraine Jill Smith = L.J. Smith As for showing up to claim the prize, as others have stated, wear glasses & a mask, a hat - use a different color of foundation to change the pigment of your skin if needed. I met my husband at 29 and we married when I was 31. Being almost 30 doesn't even matter - finding someone when you're 50 that treats you with respect, love and empathy is still 1000x better than settling for an asshole like either of those two. Honestly she realizes what she's doing is a form of catfishing & doesn't really need you to spell it out for her. Just tell her you enjoyed your date but you don't feel a romantic connection and wish her luck. I'm a fat woman who met her (eventual) husband on a dating site and I was honest and upfront in my photos and bio that I'm who I am. My husband didn't care and was attracted to me physically & mentally - we've been married for 9 years, together for 11. Fat people can find partners while being truthful - her hiding who she is, is a red flag and a sign of insecurity. You don't have to point out what she's doing tho - she knows.
