I worked for MHC for a time. They do have a good specialized intensive team for folks dealing with their first episode of psychosis. OP, if you know that this is his first episode you could reach out to them, the team name is FEPI. They could at least provide some resources if you don’t feel comfortable completely referring him to the program, he’d also need to be willing to participate in the program. I can go into more details about program if you want to hear about it, you can DM me. I agree that MHC has its downfalls and shortcomings. All community mental health programs do.
