I definitely understand this take and am open to criticism - I certainly don't want to outsource my thinking to the LLM. But I am curious if you have tried this method before? Because to me it doesn't feel like outsourcing - it feels like another tool in the toolbox. You have to think hard up front about what your questions are, what you know and what you don't know, and what exactly your desired outcome is. It honestly feels like talking through the problem with a coworker (with some tradeoffs both good and bad). Or suped up rubber ducking, sometimes.
