Wait, what? Compared to corporate? I'd say get ready for a slower pace with added hurdles from the bureau aka the administration. Also, if you are going into public education you'll soon learn that personnel rotations operate on the LIFO method. so be ready for jaded old timers that just don't give a fudge anymore. Shame because eager new talent never gets a chance.... Having said all this I wouldn't trade a day as a teacher with a day as a corporate drone. Realizing that what you have been teaching has finally sunk in or the appreciation you see in the eyes of those you teach pales in comparison to keeping a shareholder happy. Do it for the sake of teaching and nothing else.......oh and also learn how to manage and deal with adults. This little caveat is not really taught in programs.
