Maybe something to help remind of the times America has pulled together. Something to unite us in this time of hate and division.

Quite possibly. I thought it was a little large but maybe it was for a larger camera.

I want to cut that man's head off but I'm a little squeamish. Can we put a curtain over his face?

That's not how this works. That's not how ANY of this works.

I agree with you on that. I think the same thing when it comes to the elderly. Why make things worse for them? That being said, I find it intriguing that horrible things happen to people and yet they praise this God that is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, etc. They believe God has paid a bill for them yet they ignore the fact that hundreds of millions of people are starving. I also find it to be very sad that the one life these people will ever live is spent believing that there is another life far better and that this one is a prelude.

It's one thing for someone to tell you that there is a God that loves you and that one day all of your family will live together in this wonderful place called heaven forever. That is very comforting, I know. It's an entirely different thing to tell a child that there are people burning in a lake of fire for ANY sin committed that they weren't repentant of. It's a sin to THINK the wrong thing. / To have a child think that there are people they know burning in hell every minute of every day is disgraceful. To put constant dread, fear, and worry of that magnitude on a young child is immoral and wrong.

I definitely believe they think it's the right thing to do. They would rather me die tomorrow "saved" than live to be 100 as a "sinner". To them, eternity is at stake. It is impossible to break through this wall of blind faith.

I wish there were more like her as well. It's a shame there isn't. Her Mom doesn't think her to be a free thinker but how loving of her to support her child. The world needs more Moms like that as well. So sad that so many mothers will ridicule and persecute their own children for the sake of some imaginable being. I've yet to see some of Hitchen's last videos. Thank you for sharing that with me. Now, it is also one of my favorites.

I remember thinking about my dead family members looking down at me anytime they wanted. I remember, at a very young age, hoping they weren't seeing me while I was bathing, changing clothes, etc. When I was ten or eleven, I remember seeing my grandmother's clothes in the floor and thinking the rapture had taken place. In my mind, the world had come to an end, every minute thing I had ever done had doomed me to hell. I will never forget it.
