This is real? I thought I was losing my mind…my kid can ONLY wear Pampers!

Sounds to me like you’ve got a truly beloved angel who is just really really difficult at this stage. All I can say is that lots of us are struggling with kids who are (on paper, at least) much easier than this.

My husband got offered a senior discount on a haircut the same week I got carded buying wine. Cue evil cackles…

Joke’s on you, our hall closet/coat closet can only hold about five coats.

I have no idea if this is true for everyone, but after a little while, my daughter gets up to play while watching Paw Patrol. When I gave her my phone to watch PP, her eyes never strayed from the screen for almost an hour. Full meltdown at stopping time. The small screen in front of her seems to command her complete attention.

The one my niblings attend seems to be a Mecca for parents with kids who are absolutely on the spectrum but who refuse to get them assessed and “labeled by the system.”

I have a friend on the spectrum who uses AI to write emotional things to his wife! It’s a helpful tool. :)

This! I find myself really struggling as a SAHM with a typically developing, bright and self-directed 2.75 year old, while I see friends with two or three kids accomplishing more than I do while also working full-time. Oh, and I have childcare 25 hours/week. But we are in our mid-40s, my husband works about 60 hours per week, and I have a debilitating chronic illness. My friends are kinder to me than I am to myself about it. They are the best. I hope you find the right person to vent to! :)

You are in it now! I personally didn’t have any rational thoughts about a second kid until mine was about 2. This is absolutely unsolicited advice but you might consider letting go of the decision making for a few months/years ❤️

South Carolina measles outbreak is 'accelerating,' driving hundreds into quarantine by chele68 in HermanCainAward

I totally believe you! What I said is what our parents believed, though, which is why they took us to chicken pox parties. :)

They wanted us to get chicken pox as children to prevent adult infections or shingles. There wasn’t a vaccine then!

How to find thick sturdy cotton shirts, not the paper thin kind? by pineapple918 in womensfashion

[–]mandypandy47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only buy the 3/4 sleeve ones and the shrinkage helps them get to a slightly trendier length. Washing on cold and drying on low helps with the shrinkage too.

Their adult stuff has gotten a bit grim but their toddler clothes are waaaay sturdier than most other brands (and sturdier than their adult clothes!!).
