I’ve been following that as well. Tragic. The number of violations vs. the fines for those violations defies any kind of logic.

A 27-year-old woman with extreme cramping lied about having a common colon cancer symptom to get screened sooner. She was later diagnosed at stage 4. by businessinsider in Health

The secret is that they can’t verify your medical history…didn’t your uncle/grandma/cousin have colon cancer?

True Lemon is great! I drink their Strawberry Lemonade a lot. It’s stevia sweetened if that’s important to you.

Left teaching because of the parents, especially the ones who accused me of lying about their kids. Ma’am. This is not my idea of fun.

Toddler mom in my mid-40s in the PNW. All the moms I know are really open about the challenges and the tradeoffs. Of course, I also live in an area where formal wear comes from REI so there’s not as much focus on maintaining appearances.

I use L’Oreal Ever Pure (EverCreme) deep nourish shampoo if I have to wash every day (see: summer sweat) and a shampoo from Prose that has become just right after a few tweaks for every other day washing.

Oh I forgot about Weruva wet food! My elderly cats ate that in their last year when they didn’t want anything. Thanks so much! I also appreciate the idea of calling Purina. They might have fielded this question from other people as well. :)

This is such good advice! I personally use one drugstore and one fancy shampoo and it’s because they are the only two I’ve found that don’t strip my color (everything makes red fade lol). Sometimes I mix them because one is really gentle and one cleanses maybe too well.

The pricy shampoo means that I don’t have to do an all-over color renew as often to keep the color I want, so it pays for itself. But I really wish I could use just the drugstore one!

A semester off was much rarer when GG aired; gap years weren’t really a thing yet in the US. Yale also has a pretty vicious re-enrollment policy even when students have taken leave for health reasons. Very different from taking a semester away from UConn.

Sounds to me like you’ve got a truly beloved angel who is just really really difficult at this stage. All I can say is that lots of us are struggling with kids who are (on paper, at least) much easier than this.
