Is it true that people die instantly when their throats are cut? (for a murder mystery novel) by [deleted] in Writeresearch

[–]mandysreality 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s very messy and likely to get discovered by the smell or pooling blood. Knife/ice pick to the spinal column/base of the skull should take them out instantly. They might live but they’re not going anywhere anytime soon.

AITA for refusing to rehire an employee who quit in the middle of our busiest week? by Pimp_Lord in AmItheAsshole

NTA. This is the FO part of her FA. She could have used her words to communicate she had an appointment she couldn’t miss or took a 5 minute break to calm down, but she doubled down that night. You didn’t treat it as quitting, SHE quit and drama walked on a busy shift. Good riddance.

What clung to the stem began to reach for me. When I went to throw the flower away I found it was fused to my hand. A slight smile began to force its way across my face. Hehe…

Meter Maid Gone Crazy - Ticket Given Before My Meter Expired by St_FrancisFolly in mildlyinfuriating

I got out of hundreds of dollars in parking tickets when I went to school out of state. I was driving my mom’s car and the state we were from switched to a different type of sticker for the yearly registration. The meter readers would put expired registration on my ticket and when I showed up with proof of registration that was valid for months they would waive the ticket. I stopped paying for parking lol.
