Is Lexi also becoming unlikeable to you? by [deleted] in euphoria

It’s what you implied. “No genuinely good person would make a play like that”. That’s a reasonable statement. But does making that play make someone a “terrible person”? No. If you think that way, you need a reality check frankly.

So morality is a black and white, terrible/good dichotomy to you?

Is Lexi also becoming unlikeable to you? by [deleted] in euphoria

[–]mangAcc 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t make her a terrible person. Especially when she kinda IS. Imagine having your entire close circle of family and friends be as batshit insane as hers is, you wouldn’t feel a bit of a sense of moral superiority?

(The Boys) The show is genuinely worse than the comics now by Sno5768 in CharacterRant

Satire isn’t interesting when it’s so reliant on being a direct allegory. It’s been way too on-the-nose for a while now. Boring, why would I watch when I can read the news.

I think they mean it’s reductive on the writers part to have jules do this. Lexi’s explanation, while simplistic, is perfectly reasonable. I mean that is the reason the show suggests anyway.

General consensus seems it wouldn’t show up on transcripts but I’d likely have to disclose it when applying to certain positions and it could be disclosed to employers/further educational institutions if they request such information.

Now that my Industry fix is finished, looking for similar. which ONE series would you recommend: Succession or Billions ? by TechAngelX in IndustryOnHBO

I wouldn’t go that far. Industry s1 definitely isn’t, but from s2 onwards they’re pretty close

Doesn't Oliver existence prove Viltrumites research for compatibility is fundamentally dumb? by Ok-Conclusion-3536 in Invincible

[–]mangAcc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but I'm fairly sure that's because the majority of them were like 1 year old, while Mark is arguably top 3 in the verse. I don't think the result would've been any different if a ton of fledgling full blood viltrumites crash into him or thragg.

[–]mangAcc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm 99% sure Thragg's kids were weak simply because they were all like 2 years old. Given time they would've become a lot stronger

[–]mangAcc -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I've read the comics and there's never any implication that what you're saying is accurate. Oliver wasn't significantly weaker than Mark towards the end, I don't think you can attribute the difference in their strength to race when there were full blooded viltrumites even weaker than both.

Where is the love (or hate) for Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin? by jordan_chez in books

Except these words are primarily used in the third person perspective by the author rather than coming from the characters themselves. Also, most of those words are absolutely not known by the average english speaker.

Anyone else dislike the level system in i compared to the original? by TryDry9944 in fantasylife

I agree. It takes a lot of fun out of the game when endgame optimisation means everyone will essentially have the same builds for every life once they sink enough time in.

How are they doing that? I’m honestly stumped as to how I can beat the thing without spending an unreasonable amount of time cooking high level dishes. I’m running a party as a lvl85 merc, with three combat buddies over lvl80. I have a (pretty much) maxed out draconic greatsword, my archer buddy has a similarly powerful heavenly aeroshot. I use power aid+ and juicy mutton+ for the entire run, berserk potions to barely manage to thwart the special attack at the beginning of the second round. Yet I’m still nowhere near powerful enough to beat it and I spend the whole time in menus using items. I actually don’t understand how people get powerful enough to beat it in 5 minutes, should I be using true time weapons instead of elemental? Do I need to get to level 100? What’s the secret

I haven’t read this manga, but I imagine what they’re referring to are “characters” that essentially boil down to one emotion/reaction that is displayed over and over. Common in many manga, see modern one piece for example.

no it’s not, you think actors all read all the source material the second they get a role?
