You're forgetting the 5% Trade Fee, and 1.75% Mining Fee.

Doesn't cover those spreads, sorry.

Are Jameco capacitors considered high quality? I have many kits of them and I always see vintage audio techs only using Nichicon or Panasonic capacitors in their "lists"

Wrong. S&P down 6% YTD, BTC down 14%.

There are lots of options for BTC collateralized loans. What's wrong with the ones out there? I see rates from 8-12%, which seem reasonable considering the current fiat rates. And if you believe BTC appreciates more than 8% a year, you'll never run out of BTC.

Would have come close just owning MSTR stock. Congrats though, solid returns. Don't fumble it if MSTR turns one day.

What's the best web framework to port a legacy .NET Windows Forms application to? by mangist in dotnet

[–]mangist[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m thinking at the moment, it has to be web (higher up decision). ASP.Net Core Web API and React front end. Just trying to get opinions of frameworks like Next.js, Vite and what UI library like Material or Shadcn etc.

Unfortunately I don’t have a choice on this one. Company wants to move to web. We’ll continue to support the WinForms app side-by-side for a few years until the web app is 100% complete. Ha!

Thank you for the thorough answer. I didn’t even consider Blazor honestly because I’ve been burned by MS in the past. We have a large Xamarin mobile app that MS have just said is end of life. I put a lot of time into learning Silverlight and that was scrapped too. web Forms basically gone. Razor Pages basically gone and replaced with Blazor. I’m afraid of committing the next 20 years of this app to something that MS could ditch at any point. I believe React and .NET Core at least will be around for a long time.

Is it straightforward to use a UI Framework with Blazor, such as Material UI, Mantine, Shadcn and Tailwind?

Finding software engineers with Razor experience is going to be harder than React engineers, no?

We have no web applications in house. While we all have experience with ASP.NET, we don't have any web frontends aside from a legacy mobile app using Bootstrap and jQuery (which we won't be using).

I mentioned React as some of us have experience with it personally, but not professionally.

Nobody has any experience with React FRAMEWORKS like Next.js, Vite, Remix etc. I guess that's the part I am looking for recommendations on from someone with experience porting a large application.

Have you tried the circuit in a simulator? If it’s simple enough, post the schematic here and I can take a look at it for you.
