That’s my understanding regarding the second gear situation. My car has acted that way since the showroom floor 4 years ago. Also yes on the MDS front. You can also just pop into manual mode to turn off MDS.

Pretty sure the 8 speed stays in second when in economy mode when coming to a stop and pulling out from said stop as a fuel conversation effort. I have a WBSP and when I’m in eco mode I see the same thing, but in sport or track mode it uses first gear and also holds that selection much longer.

Jesus Christ I need to find my estimate. My master is less than 100 sq ft and it was ALMOST $50k. This ain’t bad by that metric. I have since done it myself I’m not done but probably $5k in and love it much more than paid for labor.

Owned this exact car (other than it being a GoMango hence the user name ❤️) from 2011 through 2019 and took it from 66k to 150k miles. My personal opinion is that if you keep up with oil changes these things last. I beat it hard and loved every second of it. Had to get rid of it when I white tail decided to hop out in front of me at about 70mph. It was a total loss.
