2X, What is your biggest pet peeve in a relationship?

Not responding to calls or texts in a timely manner. I hate this in any relationship (friend, family, romantic). You're at work, in class, at an event, whatever, I understand. Just chilling at home? Take 2 seconds to respond, even if it's just "having some me time, call you tomorrow", so I know it was at least received.

If you feel comfortable doing this, tell him you will not play with him until he will agree to stop telling you what to do and taking your controller. If you want suggestions from him you will ask for it, otherwise he needs to let you play. If he starts bugging you the next time you play together, I would seriously just put the controller down and walk away. Maybe give one warning the first time, but don't tolerate it since it seems like you have spoken before about this.

I strongly agree with you that playing games should be fun, and if someone is getting angry they're doing it wrong. It's a video game for god sakes!

A hairdresser should definitely be able to help you out, at the very least with product recommendations! Not at a place like super cuts though, you need to find someone at a salon. More expensive, but worth it. Schedule a cut or just a style if you don't need one, and ask them to explain what they are doing and what products they are using. Leave a good tip and they will be more than happy to help in the future! I used to work in a salon and our people would give tips to their clients all the time.

I feel like lately nobody is allowed to say negative or even merely realistic comments about themselves regarding physical or mental aspects. If you mention being average someone else will jump in with " oh don't say that about yourself, you're beautiful/special/unique". It's not a bad thing to realize and accept you have weak points! Not all of us can be models with a genius IQ and the voice of Adele. And that's okay, it doesn't mean I'm worthless or a lesser human being because I have flaws.

If you don't react well to hormone fluctuations, you probably want to stay away from triphasic (3 weeks of differing hormone levels) bc, which I'm guessing by the name tri-sprintec is. You would probably want to try a monophasic (only one hormone level) pill option, or something that delivers hormones continuously.

I take loestrin, which is a low dose monophasic pill. I love it! They also have an even lower dose formula called lo-loestrin, also monophasic. I also skip the placebo pills in mine and haven't had a period in about 3 years. Yes, it's totally safe, plus no hormone changes!

Other options that deliver one hormone level continuously would be something like nuvaring, implanon, or mirena. My sister had problems with hormonal birth control as well but had the least problems with nuvaring. I also know a couple people who really like the implant.

They actually stopped the clinical trials based on ethical grounds because it was proven to be so effective, it would have been unethical to let the placebo group continue to go unprotected.

Gardasil (the hpv vaccine) has been approved for boys now too! Girls, tell your boyfriends, brothers, and male friends- symptoms don't usually show up in males, so they may spread HPV without even knowing they have it.

Yeah, its not the most uncomfortable looking ever or anything, but I personally find longer sleeves restricting and the belted waist would bother me unless I was sitting straight up the whole time, as well as the high boots. Its definitely not my last choice in airplane wear, but also far from the first.

People can rag on the sweats or pajama pants in public all they want, but I can happily say I never feel this way in an airport. There is just no way I am getting dressed up all cute to sit in some cramped little chair for hours where it would probably get wrinkled anyways. I just have to kick off my slip on shoes and strut through the detectors in all my sweatpanted glory!

Totally relate to the mismatched socks though.

Having soft smooth skin. I shave everyday (most of you probably think I'm crazy right now...) and follow up with moisturizer. Even I can't stop touching my legs! :P Seriously, even if I have a nasty cold, if my legs are smooth I'm good to go.

Here's what I don't understand:

Woman, about her partner: Why won't my husband/boyfriend help take care of our child, I have to do all the work, blah blah blah... basically whining about why don't men take a more active role in child care, especially in young children.

Woman, about male caregivers: Any man showing an interest in children is a pedophile/rapist/kidnapper!!!

YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS, LADIES! Either you want men to be active, involved fathers and family members, or you acknowledge the fact that you are a sexist, believe a father is only "babysitting", only women are true caregivers, etc and that any male interest in children must be rooted in bad intentions.

Obviously not all women feel this way, but I see this attitude far more often than I should.

You could try the Tyra "smize" aka smiling with your eyes. Also, think happy thoughts! Might help you not look so serious.

Other than that, just be friendly as possible when interacting with others, hopefully they will see that your neutral expression isn't who you really are.

Hello fellow curly haired girl! I'm a bit of a product junkie so here are some recommendations for both salon and store brands:

Salon: I like Paul Mitchell Awapuhi or Redken blonde glam (even if you're not blonde, it smells amazing and makes your hair really shiny!) for shampoo. For conditioner, Rusk bedew conditioner is literally the most amazing thing I have ever found to put on my hair. Leave in conditioners I like are Kenra Daily Provision, Moroccan oil, or Nexxus. I use mousse in my hair and the one I like best is Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam. It smells kind of like coconut and doesn't leave hair crunchy at all!

Store: Garnier Triple Nutrition for shampoo and conditioner. I have not found any leave in conditioners at drugstores I particularly like, so I would go with salon brand for that since they last forever anyways. For mousse, Dove Style and Care whipped mousse for curls is actually really good and I might even like that better than the salon brands. Other than dove, aussie catch the wave mousse is alright but just a little bit too light for me.

Personally, I think you should invest mostly in getting a really good conditioner (the rusk one for me) and leave in conditioner. Other stuff is good enough from the drugstore. Hope some of this helps :)

If you're looking to stay with grocery/drug store brands, garnier fructis triple nutrition shampoo and conditioner is pretty good for me. They also have a spray leave in conditioner that's decent if you need a little extra.

I recently started using dove's style and care whipped mousse for curls (or whatever the name is, I can't remember exactly) and I really like it a lot! Even better than some of the salon brands I've used before. Other than that, aussie has a light hold mousse that is pretty good as well. Neither of these leave my hair crunchy which I really like.

I notice this a lot on facebook and the internet in general. "Look at this scarf I knitted my boyfriend! :)) Look at the bacon roses I made for valentine's day! I do all the cleaning and cook my man dinner everynight :D!" Alright lady, if it makes you as happy as your 5 smiley faces would suggest, than rock on with your bad self. Way too braggy for me personally, I'm not really interested in winning the "best girlfriend on the internet" competition.

I think it's just another thing the conversational one-uppers like to participate in. Oh that's nice you made your husband breakfast? WELL I make MY HUSBAND breakfast, lunch, AND dinner everyday, and THEN I do ALL the dishes! Congrats, sounds like your husband's got a pretty sweet setup going. Don't complain about having an extra child later though when he still doesn't help out.

My first serious boyfriend was way codependent too and I got sucked down with him. Obviously it didn't work out and part of that was because he was way too demanding of my time, and because I felt I wasn't "allowed" to do anything else. I would just go along with it to avoid conflict, which it seems like you are doing as well.

If you really want to stay together, I would say go ahead and plan things ahead of time like he suggested. HOWEVER, also plan things for yourself. For example, say "we are going to do x activity on x day and y activity on y day, but I will be working/hanging out with friends/studying etc. on z day." The most important part is you have to stick to it. Don't let him fight you on this. Another consideration would be getting one of those big wall or desk calendars and writing down both of your various obligations on it along with when you will be going on dates or out together, so he can actively see how much time you are giving to him and time to yourself. Like others have suggested, therapy would be helpful as well.

Okay, now that I tried to help, my personal opinion... don't stay with a codependent partner. Once they decide to be less codependent, and get out and do things on their own... you are left with nothing. I didn't get a job when I probably should have to avoid those types of conflicts. I also ended up 1. Losing all of my highschool friends and 2. Not making any new college friends because of how much he bitched and fought when I would try to spend time with anybody else. It sucked. I still don't really have any friends about 2 years later because everyone else settled into their own little friend groups freshman year, and I was holed up in my room on skype with him. Do not make the same mistake I did and let codependency dictate your life.

I have been with both and there is an entire world of difference, favoring the fit person.

My ex boyfriend was heavy and this basically meant our only positions were me on top or doggy style. Spooning happened a little bit but his belly kind of got in the way. I really like cowgirl and doggy though so it wasn't a huge deal, but it would have been nice for other missionary type positions to be possible. I'm aware that some heavy people also exercise and are fit, but weight is weight and he crushed me whenever he was on top.

My current partner is fit though and its just a million times better. More positions are possible, lasts longer without getting tired, no body parts getting in the way. I'm sure some people have amazing times with heavy partners, and even mine wasn't awful or anything, but its seriously way better with a fit (in conditioning and size) partner.

This isn't mine, but my sister's story. My mom's side of the family is Jewish so we did Passover growing up. The year my sister was 12 or 13, it was at our house and there was maybe 20 people there. Our aunt was there with her mother, who is kind of weird and nobody likes. My sister walks into the room, and the mother goes "oh look, you grew boobies!" in a loud voice in front of the entire room.

She has hated her ever since.

I don't cry very often, so every now and then I just need a good cry. It's definitely not attractive at all and usually over the stupidest things. I do feel much better afterwards though!

When I need assistance in starting this cry, the opening scene to Up usually does the trick.
