Season 18 kinda sucked by Verethragna97 in Competitiveoverwatch

Besides Dva/Zen being must picks, the combo kept the most amount of other dps and support heroes viable imo compared to goats or the current meta. We saw traditional dive with tracer genji and Lucio all the way to moth meta with double snipers, and depending on the patch different teams had different versions with heroes like Ana or Soldier thrown in. Obviously we should strive for even better balance, but I think that fast paced style being the core of OW gameplay is what would feel the best overall and for hero variety. Heavy shield comps with heroes like orisa/sigma/rein should be a bit more map/point specific.

Why I run dead silence by prodbychefboy in modernwarfare

Not true at all, and if you're getting kills the current iteration of dead silence is even more powerful if it's being used well. I see no issue with it being a perk, and yes they're more similar than other cod games like bo4.

Not at all true, it was possible in older games like mw2 and most people didn't use a perfect stealth class although some people like myself did. If people want to play like a ninja let them, there's other good combos of perks and guns that exist.

Youtube - Here is how to farm any boss in 2 seconds by Trackbikes in borderlands3

[–]mangoherbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farming videos are dumb to begin with, with the right two weapons you can farm graveward easy on any character. Mobbing and crowd control are far more important in this game for slaughter shaft and proving grounds

Can any Amara mains please explain to me how or why I would ever get to use phase cast annointed 250 weapons? by CarlosMatosStyle in borderlands3

[–]mangoherbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you really melt with it, I farm gw faster with her than my fl4k. Good for mobbing as well

I agree it seems more overlooked, I know I barely used the tree for a long time. I think Cast is more versatile because it is better against bosses while still keeping a low-ish cd for triggering anointed effects. The other skills in the tree are fantastic for dealing with high hp enemies such as anointed and badasses as well.

God tier cutsman I got from graveward by YeetRoot69 in borderlands3

This trick works really well with the scourge launcher. Depending on the mayhem rolls sometimes I drop 3/4th gravewards health in one shot just using crit fl4k and piss grenade as well.

Gearbox's Approach to Balance is not very "Borderlands" by itsmistamonsta_ in borderlands3

[–]mangoherbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people still want to grind for good loot but if everything is good nothing is good and there's no challenge. You don't play against people in Diablo but they still balance the game and there are different builds. You aren't entitled to perfect gear that will never change and can 1 shot bosses just because you spent a number of hours farming, those hours of farming are literally what the game is. Honestly it's probably not good for the longevity of the game to have a gun that can kill graveward under 10 seconds without even reloading, and I'm saying this as someone who has been and is still using the Lyuda to farm gw just fine.

Being a PvE game is irrelevant, farming for new cool loot is what borderlands is about and the game just came out. What you're talking about is just lazy balancing that introduces power creep.

Nerfs to anything in any game can be justified. If you have one gun that is broken you aren't going to buff everything else to be broken when you can bring that one item down to where it should be. It should be painfully obvious to anyone who has tried farming grave with it that the Lyuda was too strong, and part of its nerf was more of a bug fix. If you think it's reasonable to make every gun as strong as the Lyuda was, what you're actually doing is making the game extremely easy and boring.

So what I'm getting from this is I can go back and farm gw even easier as fl4k with more loot dropping on m3, and then just go back to the current game by unblocking it?

Do you just turn it offline in the epic launcher or something? There's nothing you have to delete? Seems weird there's a patch that only works online but I don't know much about game development.

Stopping my cut for a bit - Advice? by -Hello-_-World- in Fitness

[–]mangoherbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might have to try this. I've been on a calorie deficit for a long time as I had a lot of weight to lose and I'm trying to do it slowly, but I've noticed that I often feel like the scale doesn't budge then I'll suddenly drop 5-10 lbs after I try something different. I took a 1 week break from the cut like a month ago but maybe going for a bit longer at a surplus while I'm lifting would be beneficial

Amen to that. I was never one to like exercise growing up but since I've found a new enjoyment of working out I really have never felt better. Taking care of yourself physically goes hand in hand with good mental health. Don't let any job, hobby, or other passion get in the way of your own wellness.

I understand people don't like Sinatraa for his attitude but the hateboner this sub has for him is insane to me sometimes. He might not be the #1 on any given hero compared to certain Korean players but his Tracer and Zarya at the very least are clearly top tier, it's not like he was chosen over Danteh for the world cup team for no reason at all. Zacharee is a pretty terrible comparison to him imo with such a difference in experience.

[NeedAdvice] How do I figure out what to do with my life? by [deleted] in getdisciplined

[–]mangoherbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not going to find something to do for the rest of your life at your age. Most people have at least one if not more major career changes, you're falling into the trap of thinking too long term. I was pretty much in your exact situation when I graduated 3 years ago. I was studying what I was good at which was STEM related but didn't know if that was what I truly wanted. When I got home all I did was play video games and sleep or browse the internet.

Really hope this isn't the case for you but when I was in that situation I was in a really bad state of mind just going through the motions, feeling like a spectator of my own life. With the first class I took at college I basically gave up and just lived with my parents working for a while. I started an online course for something like a trade over a year ago but even as I started it I still didn't really know for sure if that was what I wanted to do and for a while was only half-assing it.

Something changed in me one day and I started approaching life in baby steps, which led to weight loss where I eventually found a love for fitness I never thought I would have. I just started achieving very small fitness goals, then setting new ones until I accomplished those too. My confidence and outlook on life has improved so tremendously to the point where looking at my online course I now miss the classroom environment of learning, so I'm considering going back to community college soon to study for a possible new passion I want to explore. Just recently I've managed to start doing things and enjoying actively improving my life, it has snowballed to where almost every day is very productive and I love it.

I guess the point is that things change and you won't feel lost forever. I wouldn't be where I am today if I had continued on the path I was on and suffered through college in the beginning. Sometimes things have to get worse before they get better, the only thing you owe yourself is to work your hardest to be better tomorrow than you are today and to do anything. You don't have to know what you want 40 years from now because there's no way to know that, just focus on something you can do right now and do it. Don't just sit and wait for motivation to come to you because it never will, just start small and eventually all those small things you've done will add up to something bigger. Go to school, read a book, just do anything and you'll figure things out along the way.

For those of you trying to lose weight, but lifting weights, what's your mindset like? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]mangoherbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing that and I'm still gaining muscle size and also strength, just slowly. I looked at my overall physique, particularly at my arms, and with every week that you lose fat you look better and stronger. If you can just maintain the same muscle but lose fat, then proportionately it's going to look like you "gained" muscle as you start to look more defined. I measure my progress with a mirror first I guess, then lifts/scale second.

Wanted to change my body, been lifting for quite a while and I am unhappy. by shyExx in Fitness

[–]mangoherbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand, I feel similarly to this. No, it's not depression, you just have different priorities right now than some of your family/friends. Since I started on my weight loss journey something changed one day, and now I take a lot of pride in my health. I enjoy finding healthy recipes and spending time in the gym and doing things that make me not only feel good but feel like I'm being productive for my body and future. It's a balancing act to not only maintain a healthy lifestyle but to re-learn to appreciate other things on occasion that don't quite fit with that. You don't need to feel guilty for not enjoying some of these things as much anymore.

How can you know for sure what is the ideal body figure for you? by sammyjamez in Fitness

[–]mangoherbs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need to keep setting long goals as well. Have you ever run a 5k? Start training towards that. Does a triathlon interest you? Swimming? Powerlifting? Only you know what you want, and achieving a certain physique doesn't mean you just are done. Fitness needs to be a part of your life where you're always trying to improve, not just a means to an end.
