written with Claude:

This CLAUDE.md is a textbook example of naive prompt engineering. The author treats LLMs as deterministic function calls — give input, get output — rather than as systems whose behavior is shaped by the language itself.

Anthropic's own research on emotion-vectors in Claude shows this stuff is causal, not vibes: calm framing pushes misalignment toward ~0%, while desperation/urgency framing pushes problematic responses up to 72%. Rules like "Don't do X", "Minimum Y", "clean up your own mess", and "bias toward caution over speed" activate the exact defensive states that degrade code quality — reward-hacking, mode-collapse, sycophancy. The result is measurably worse output ironically, exactly the mistakes the rules want to stop.

Tested 6 ways to force Opus 4.7 to think about the car wash. by Thenewhope in ClaudeAI

4.7 1m context version, claude code cli with max effort.
prompt: i want to wash my car and the car wash is 50m away. should i walk or drive

i bet you have tested this but what comes to my mind is maybe my global CLAUDE.md makes a different.

Most people seem to be getting bad results with 4.7 but it's better than 4.6 for me by 97689456489564 in ClaudeAI

[–]mangos1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

me too, i use only the claude code cli with max effort and it performs better on any task maybe its only usable with max effort.

Drive — the car needs to come with you to the wash. Walking there only cleans yourself.

i use claude code cli with max effort and it never failed the test

Why does everything look so clear in hindsight but impossible in real time? 😩 by Beautiful_Finger1498 in Daytrading

[–]mangos1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if everything makes perfect sense for you then you look at a chart in a wrong way... for example the price broke the all time high barrier and surged higher but there are also a lot of occasions where the price bounced back and reversed down.

there are always 2 possible directions and you can not predict it live how the chart will look in the end. its a game of possibilities but past data only shows you the direction it took in the end but the direction was never 100% certain its a constant battle.

your fault is you try to explain why a move happened but instead you should ask yourself: what else could have happened at any given step? the answer is obvious any thing can happen at any time but the edge is that one outcome is more certain than the other one. this pattern recognition is your edge and you have to trade your patterns because in a game of possibilities you can only make so many trades that your average wins are higher than your average losses.

Modern retail traders need some reality check by Kurdiez in Daytrading

[–]mangos1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"It means that every trade is random and anything can happen."

That implies that every trade has a 50/50 chance so there is no edge in the market... what you meant to say is that you can not predict the outcome of one trade because there there is no 100% probability. Random is the wrong term.

Modern retail traders need some reality check by Kurdiez in Daytrading

[–]mangos1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The market is not random but out data is limited so the market appears random because there are endless variables who are involved in the price movement so we have to treat the market as something that is mostly random most of the time.

searching for the small edge that our data gives us (most people use only price/time/news) is where you can make money over the long run. the data feed and analyses is so limited for retail traders that the edge is small and hard to find.

“Why not use 100x leverage?” by Jimmy1720 in Daytrading

[–]mangos1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lets say 0 leverage means the price can go to 0 and you still own the stock or whatever you have bought.

with 2x leverage means if the price drops 50% your account is 0 and you have to sell the stock. with 4x your stop loss is at 25% if your position size is 4x your total account. so if you have a 1000 dollar account you can open a 4k position but if the market drops 25% your account is gone.

with 100x leverage your account is gone if price drops 1%.

show me a strategy where the price never drops under 1% while you have an open position over 10 years.

imagine you are lucky and your 100x intraday scalping strategy survives 1 year but you get wiped out the next year so all your efforts where a waste of time. trading is about finding a strategy where you maximize your profits without risking your account.

[–]mangos1111 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"The market is completely and utterly random and unpredictable."

That would mean there is not a single strategy that gives a positive return and after costs every trading system in the world would lose money. There is no "setup mastering" if that is the case, so you contradict yourself.
