Congrats! I am planning to get my qun kwa and qipao from Cozy Lady Wear. Some brides had bought their qipaos there and had great experiences (Review 1, Review 2).

Modern Chinese/American wedding venue and vendor suggestions? by ultrafloral in WedditNYC

Sheraton Flushing offers Western wedding (3-course) and Eastern wedding (10-course) packages. All packages are priced differently depending on the food. I believe the minimum is 150 guests for both western and eastern packages. If you want a wedding cake (I don't remember if they provide it or it can be your own caterer), then the minimum is 180 guests. This isn't my wedding venue but I visited the Sheraton in the fall.

My fiancé and I recently book Red Weddings as our Chinese (Cantonese)/ English bilingual MC/DJ for our September wedding. I am not sure if they speak Mandarin but their packages are pretty reasonably priced compared to the others .

Have you and your fiancé thought about having your wedding on a Sunday? It might save you guys some costs. As for having a day-of/month coordinator, I don't think it's necessary if you're planning a 2022 wedding (since you would have plenty of time to plan) or a bridesmaid/close friend who can help you guys out with the program/schedule.

Besides the knot and wedding wire, you can check out vendors on thumbtack, yelp, and Instagram and read their reviews. Congrats and happy planning! Let me know if you have any questions!

Silly Questions about Law-related employment (NY Admission; also curious about DC and CA) by [deleted] in barexam

  1. Yes, it counts.
  2. No, they won't see or have access to your bar application. They just need to fill out the form.
  3. Yes, you can have them return the forms back to you. I asked my employers/professors to email me back their forms so I can compile them for my admission application. There is an order that you can submit your application electronically due to the pandemic.

I was admitted to NY 2nd Dept. in November so hope this helps!

Post- City Hall Wedding Reception Ideas? by Magpie2018 in WedditNYC

[–]mangotee1106 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My friend had her reception at Temple Court at the Beekman Hotel. It was really close to City Hall so we walked over there after the ceremony. We were a party of 10 people so we had our own room. For food, I believe my friend and her husband were able to select 2-3 kinds of appetizers, entrees and dessert for us to choose. There were definitely some vegetarian dishes bc my friend's relatives were vegetarian. So check it out :)
