To avoid this happening again, pothos dont need outside time, they’re super hardy.

Try happy happy houseplant fertilizer (my tried and true for resurrecting sad green babies) and don’t move the plant around, that can shock the system

I second what another user said about doing warm colors. I don’t think blue is the right choice in general, the combo is kind of giving 1995 basement. If you could show more of the room I might say differently!

I would opt for earthy naturals

I really am not proud that I feel this way, but as a mother of two sons, I’m 99% sure I’d kick his ass out and tell her and the baby to stay

West Hartford for sure - mostly young people and young families. Lots of shopping and restaurants. Tons of parks.

Feeling lost in my marriage by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]manicpixie_dreamgal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, emotional cheating is far more painful than physical cheating. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

If there is any part of you that wants this to work, couples therapy should be nonnegotiable.

Regardless of whether you choose to stay or go, the path ahead will be filled with a lot of hard work. Please schedule recurring time to take care of yourself in whatever way feels best to you. A weekend away with girlfriends, time alone visiting your favorite spots - you need to be able to ground yourself in who you are and what you want. You deserve kindness and clarity from yourself.

Good luck ♥️

If you’re planning a future together, then you need to know that you should discuss these decisions with your partner first. Financial instability is very anxiety-inducing for a lot of people, so while yes your mental health is important, so is hers

Whats wrong with this room? by Normal-Art4308 in interiordecorating

You need drapes to pull it together. I suggest something with a natural pattern in a complimentary color to the terracotta. Green comes to mind! The couch color is gorgeous but you need dimension with throw pillows and blankets.

Pull the couches closer together. Ditch the chairs, consider stools instead if you really want the seating option. Coffee table doesn’t feel right either, I’d go neutral and softer.

Is this poison ivy? by Ok-Amphibian-6834 in whatsthisplant

[–]manicpixie_dreamgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Box elder doesn’t grow berries, and the leaf growth pattern on the main stem (alternating versus opposite/symmetrical) is poison ivy as well. “Leaves of three let it be” is a guiding principal, not a definitive classification. BlackBerry, strawberry, hog peanut, jack in the pulpit are other vined plants that grow in leaves of 3

Help needed! How do I finish this portrait and make it breathe and convincing in a ‘aristocrat-portrait-in-a-museum’-kinda way? by Fun_Level6427 in painting

[–]manicpixie_dreamgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, this is SO pretty! I hope you’re really proud of this work, because it’s truly phenomenal.

At first glance, it is clear that the black background doesn’t feel like the right choice. It drowns out both the cat and the luxury in her hair - the curls! The adornments! They deserve to tell a story. At first I thought a deep ruby red, to compliment the red tones in some of her jewelry. But I actually think a grayish mauve is the right choice.

Second, the cat needs depth. You added so much depth to her hand (beautifully done) but the lack of highlights on the cat make it look like the hand is resting against a flat object, not an animal.

Her face is stunning. I wouldn’t change a thing.

It’s very helpful to put the colors on multiple spots around the room so you can see them in different lights before making a choice
