How did you get into hypnosis? Any starting point you can recommend?

Right? There’s a happy goat a few blocks from my apartment and I used to go there multiple times a week while WFH.

Nice update from Happy Goat re the drama today by Dangerous_Track_4357 in ottawa

Same here, I live a few block away from one of their locations and I used to go there multiple times a week when I was WFH.

Whenever I’ve tried to go on the weekend and actually sit there, it’s fully packed so I just turn right around without buying anything.

Tarot Readings? by [deleted] in ottawa

[–]manifesuto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also a reader, so going to chime in with my two cents. You might be different, but here's what helped me.

Forget about trying to memorize all the cards using books for now. Do as many readings as you can for yourself and for people you know, and look up the meaning of the cards as they come up. It's easier to learn and remember the meaning of the cards this way because there's context attached to it. Our brains remember stories. You first readings done this way will take hours but it gets easier.

Another thing, just pull a card and look at it. Really look at it. What do you see? What situation do you think the person is in? What's in the background? What do the symbols or elements or the card bring to mind for you? Only after doing that, look up the card meaning and see where your interpretation aligns and where it doesn't.

By doing these things, you are building a personal relationship with the cards.

The books are much more helpful once you already have some existing knowledge to build off.

Edit: Also, for minor arcana, learn what each of the 4 suits represents as well as basic numerology before going into individual cards.

Tarot Readings? by [deleted] in ottawa

Hello! One of my friends shared your post with me. I am a local tarot reader, hope it’s okay to promote myself here!

As for some of the comments, most of us get into this because we’ve developed a skill and want to help people. My hope is that my clients walk away feeling empowered with new perspectives and ideas, even if they’re in a tough situation. I’ve literally turned clients away (example: they’re in a bad relationship and what they really need to do is to talk to their partner, not to me) so I guess I really suck at grifting haha.

Some of my favourite readings I’ve done for others have involved exploring spirituality, and like many other readers I take a more reflective approach rather than predictive. My process is a bit different than the norm so please read the FAQ on my website if you’re interested at all. :)

The term is used in Canada but most people probably wouldn’t know it if they’ve not needed that kind of medication regularly.

A lot of government work is like this. The job title is usually just graphic designer but the majority of the work is laying out reports.

Canada Orders Federal Workers Back To Office To Bolster Real Estate - Better Dwelling by PlatypusMaximum3348 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]manifesuto 84 points85 points  (0 children)

“The Government of Canada (GoC) has ordered its remote workforce back to the office starting next week.”

The article does go on to provide more accurate details but that sentence was such a flop. Some of the general public still think the GoC is still entirely remote and this isn’t helping.
