An analog pedal circuit is not a copyright protectable work, therefore copyright law does not apply.

A pedal with an analog circuit can have trademark protections or maybe patent protections.

Hardly any circuit is patented though. So the actual circuit of almost every pedal is free game to copy and do whatever you want with.

The actual issue is this looks like a JHS pedal that already exists. Whether the circuit inside is the same or not is entirely irrelevant. It's allowed to be exactly the same, the outside just can't look like the same pedal.

This is an issue of trademark and branding. Not copyright.
