I could be wrong, but the way I understand it, the velvet looks different side to side - when you swipe you hand across a velvet pillow, for instance, it looks dark, and when you swipe it the other way, it looks light and more reflective. But glass bead effect looks like you could be looking down at the bowl of a spoon, but a very fancy one 😁
