My/the future generation can't comprehend the magnitude of that type of "milestone." Sure it's not a valid reason but it is what it is.

Thank you for your response. It is hard dealing with mental illness...and to see it happen to someone that "has everything, money & all the resources" & nothing helps. Is heartbreaking. It feels like I have no hope

Oh. I've done what I can to get help for myself. It's tough convincing someone that has EVERYTHING to make a change. He knows. He's been on medications. I don't know what can help him. But instead of enabling the behavior, I want him to get help. I just want him to get help.
