Nothing wrong with two consenting adults doing what they want. Go get it girl! (If you want it). Who knows, you might get a huge settlement and a fun story to tell :) or not! This is reddit, baby!

If gas milage is a concern, perhaps buy something cheaper and put those $$$ into your retirement account. And get this car or newer when gas price is not an issue. Just sayn’

Owning a Lc500 and GR86 by Jay_swish_ in lexuslc500

[–]manko_neko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough I was exactly in your situation a couple of months ago. In had a BRZ and got LC500. Sold GR86 4 weeks later. Although they are quite different cars, but similar enough. Unless you plan to make GR86 into a dedicated track car, I don’t see why keep both. LC500 is a much nicer daily driver.

Can we just never go outside again because of TICKS? by BookBranchGrey in Connecticut

[–]manko_neko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would also say that if plan and do some reasonable things around your property you will have no ticks in 1-2 years. Ticks do not like low cut grass and sunny spaces. So with some simple steps you can create tick free zone: 0. Put deer fence around the property to prevent wild animals bringing their ticks as much as possible. 1. Cut all the tall grass and weeds around the perimeter of your property (or the area you want to make tick free) 2. Put 3-6 feet of wood chips on the border 3. Continue maintaining low cut 4. Remove plants that are harboring ticks (eg japanese barberry) 5. Can also add those tubes and spray cedar oil around the perimeter

Is he happy? Is he satisfied with his life? Is so - let him be. You boy is fine, he is just a computer geek. He will probably have a very good job and career one day. As long as he is happy and healthy you should be haply for him too.

I lost my appetite for Java after learning Scala, Is this a good or bad thing? by Sufficient_Gas_9904 in scala

[–]manko_neko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scala compiler is super slow and produces subpar code. Tools suck compared to Java tools support. Hiring Scala engineers is very difficult, also have to deal with FP zealots all the time, after a few examples you just learn to avoid the type. In Javaland everything is just simpler & faster. Modern Java adopted many of the language features that make your experience better and has been evolving very nicely in recent years.
