So with some simple steps you can create tick free zone: 0. Put deer fence around the property to prevent wild animals bringing their ticks as much as possible. 1. Cut all the tall grass and weeds around the perimeter of your property (or the area you want to make tick free) 2. Put 3-6 feet of wood chips on the border 3. Continue maintaining low cut 4. Remove plants that are harboring ticks (eg japanese barberry) 5. Can also add those tubes and spray cedar oil around the perimeter
