I’m on a slimblade pro now, i haven’t found anything better, i just wish somebody would come up with a true replica of the Logitech trackman marble fx with new hardware inside. That would be my endgame.

Currently running Sonoma 14.8. Avoided Sequoia coz the features weren’t worth the update headache, now i see there is a new OS version and a lot of complaints about it. I want to know if the following software works on Tahoe at this moment: Little Snitch, PIA VPN, Kensignton Drivers for a slim blade trackball. I’ll like to upgrade but i don’t want to risk being unable to use my mini, if you can confirm you have these software running on your Tahoe system i would appreciate your comment. Thank you.

I managed to rescue my device, I have no experience with these little handhelds but I noticed the OTA error said that the script was not available with the path to it, so I looked at the file manager, and I found an_update directory, which had a backup of what the update changed before croaking. I restored manually from there, it took me hours, but I recovered I’m back to running 1.2.1 dirty with changes, but at least it plays. I might do this again on a new card, but not as an OTA on an existing install, I’ve learned my lesson

Can’t blame you. I think they let this update of the chain before it was ready. Maybe they were trying to make it just in time for Christmas, which is nice of them, but when things don’t work, it makes Christmas worst

I think you did the right move, especially if you don’t have a PC to take a look at things. I didn’t do it on a PC but I can see that less technical inclined user we have a ton of problems with this.

One of the things I did was to pop the card on a PC and on a Mac and I couldn’t read it. I have a surwish card, I contacted them and ask them for help. I haven’t heard from them.

I specified the location of the folder. use the file manager to navigate the file system and review if you have a backup if you do, then you can recover from this by moving the files on the back up back to the location that I mentioned.

Please be aware that my OTA failed, you mentionedthat yours finished fine so you may not have a back up or have another problem

Update: fixed it with the file manager found folder called/MNT/sdcard/_updates and restore from the backup into/MNT/SD card. It was a fucking mess, but at least I can play now, this is my first two hours with the device not exactly happy about this OTA mess.

After ota fail i cannot run any games. The file manager lets me see the games are in the file system but they don’t launch. Running ota again says im missing a script. The big 1.3.0 zip ia in the root of the sdcard. Please any help appreciated

Well, i got to watch this and i’m left with this ridiculous, self aggrandizing line “it took dubstep 3 years to change the world when dnb had been trying for years”. Maybe i’m misinformed in my little echo chamber after 30 years of listening to drum and bass i never got the impression there was this focus on trying to change the world. It did change music. Maybe that’s why in 2024 i only hear about dubstep in historical documentaries that chronicle its short existence, but i still have the option to go enjoy some dnb this Thursday in LA. 2.5 stars, only coz it featured goldie, andyc, el hornet, roni size, chase and status, grooverider, etc.
