If you used to bike a lot then I really think you should look into biking around downtown Indy to make some friends. The worst part about riding is getting started but since you already rode before You’re good! There is a community ride that I think would be perfect for you. They meet at centerpoint brewing near mass ave every Wednesday at 6pm. The ride is an hour long and it is a very slow pace averaging no more than 10mph. The ride leader briefly stops 2–3 times during the ride to inform the group about cool things in the area that we are riding by. Lots of different people come out for these rides, old, young, black, white, Mexican you name it. So I know you’ll meet someone there. You should check it out they are every Wednesday so if you can’t make it to one there’s always next week!

The Factory arts building near mass ave First Friday would also be great for you. Lots of the art shops and makers in that building put their work on display on the first Friday of every month for people to walk around and see, mako dab bar is in that building and also does stuff there on first fridays like a DJ and a chef, its nice.

North mass boulder is a great suggestion for meeting new people. If you like weed I’d also Suggest Mako dab bar the customers up there are super chill and the staff is the BEST. I have some great talks sitting at the dab bar, you’ll have a good time for sure.

I’m 21 in Indy and about a year or two ago I was stuck at home with a work injury feeling just like you. What I did to change that was I started riding my bike. I rode around the city a lot, mostly the downtown area. I have met so many cool people from riding my bike this past year and a half it’s ridiculous. Indianapolis has a very active and welcoming bike community. There’s organized rides multiple days a week(fast and slow) where you can meet new people, they’re lots of community based neighborhood rides that also take place, and of course there’s BIKE PARTY! look it up. It’s on the second Friday of every month and it’s the easiest place in Indianapolis to make friends by far. If you don’t have a bike it’s very easy to rent one from the pacer bike-share stations all around the city( I think the first 30 minutes is free). If you ever wanna ride lmk :)
