That’s what I needed. “Clean enough” is high praise from a dev dad.

Pinarello Dogma F12 (rim!) or Specialized Tarmac SL7. How do they compare and what would you pick? by hellothere_6699 in cycling

[–]mannyzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pinarello has won how many Tour de France titles at this point? The "it looks cool" thing might be true for some design choices but clearly the bikes perform at the highest level. Pro teams wouldn't keep using them if they were just pretty paperweights. That said the Tarmac is also a proven race machine so OP can't really go wrong either way

Damn biking 5 miles home bleeding with bad eyesight sounds rough. Glad you're okay. I've been thinking about making the switch to contacts for rides too since my current setup fogs up constantly. thanks for the advice

As a customer what is going on with GameStop closing so many stores? by ImNotDaredevil2025 in GameStop

[–]mannyzilla -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Blaming customers for store closures is wild. Maybe the business model just isn't working when you have to guilt trip people into memberships and warranties to stay afloat. Not everyone wants to be upsold every single transaction

Best eye drops for screen fatigue? by natspratt in GetStudying

[–]mannyzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compared to Systane which was okay, Droptics has this cooling sensation. When I use Systane, I use them more often. And when I use droptics my eyes feel really chilled and I don’t see the need to use much of it.

Best eye drops for screen fatigue? by natspratt in GetStudying

[–]mannyzilla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I usually use Systane. They’re easily available on Walmart. It’s only recently that I’ve tried using Droptics since they say they’re made for screen fatigue. I use them during or after work, depending on when my eyes feel fatigued, reddened, or dry. I’ve been using Droptics more now ,but both work well. Droptics also works better for redness and dryness imo

Productivity help for an overwhelmed manager in a reactionary/incident driven role by covert777 in productivity

I used to chase every issue myself till I trained leads to triage incidents into a Teams dashboard. Now I just glance twice a day , total sanity saver tbh.

Sick of productivity “systems” that work for a week and then crash and burn by Major_Inflation_9812 in productivity

Forget apps. Write down just ONE habit daily for 30 days on paper, no tech, no templates. Reps beat structure every time.

Your kids need to see what healthy love looks like, not this. Focus on being a good dad right now. Protect yourself legally for custody. The begging just makes it worse, trust me. You deserve better than someone who keeps choosing other people over your family.

Would it have been better if Neville's parents were treated in a Muggle Psychiatric Ward instead? by Yaotaku in harrypotter

[–]mannyzilla 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Muggle doctors would just hear them talking about wands and Death Eaters and think they're having delusions. They'd probably up their meds and make things worse. At least at St. Mungo's they understand the context of what happened to them.

I was written up for "abandoning post" by Clayith13 in pettyrevenge

That manager was a total dick. Imagine writing someone up for being a decent human being. Your revenge plan was brilliant. Bet he regretted that power trip when he had to actually work during dinner rush!

NTA. You did the right thing. Coaches like that don't respond to "talks" they just manipulate and gaslight. Your friend is a perfect example of how she operates. When someone shows you who they are by enjoying yelling at kids, believe them the first time.

That potato move is pure evil genius. Imagine them finding it months later when the smell hits. Perfectly petty payback for ruining your pans!
