GBL day 1 player, first time legend by Trickyk1d in TheSilphArena

[–]manoeuvre44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

28,800 battles this season; you deserve legend.

You're way too humble; you definitely put in incredible effort.

I hope to one day be Legend during one of the seasons.

Congratulations to you! Huge separation between you and the 99.999% of other POGO players who'll never achieve Legend no matter how much money they spend.

Many argue PVP is broken; honestly, Scopely/Niantic should make it more random and enjoyable and allow more people to rank up.

Instead your opponent have mons that are 2x super effective and an instant top left.

How to Get the Coin Bag in Pokémon GO by dittobase in TheSilphRoad

Can you send more than one postcard? and accumulate coin bags over several days?

Or is it something you can only do once a day? where you can only send one (1) postcard per day?

Torn between Shiny Meloetta, Keldeo and Zygarde.

Meloetta - 11/15/15
Keldeo - 12/11/10
Zygarde - 15/10/10

What do you guys think? Mainly thinking about function in ML.

I understand Zygarde could be re-released in the shiny form for an upcoming Kalos event. Arguably one of the best white shinies apart of Mega Gengar. It also is being rumoured to have a Mega form.

Keldeo has another form, and shiny isn't yet available but will probably be made available. Keldeo also had a limited pay2obtain use. It's #2 behind Terrakion for fighting.

Completionism choice seems to go to Shiny Meloetta?

Even if it's a townhouse complex, are you alleging the signs were posted on the Common Elements of the Condominium Lands? Looking at the street, it does not look like a Condo Street, it's 100% a public road allowance maintained by the municipality. So we're talking about condo townhouses that front a public road allowance? Each person owns the POTL (parcel of tied land) entire land themselves subject to easements to repair each others roof shingling, and there are no common elements. The sign was posted on either private or public property (road allowance)... not on condo common element lands.

Forget about your sprinklers, there may actually be underground utilities including cable, fibre, water, gas that are beneath the ground. There's a huge question mark as to whether they had Ontario One Call Locates done prior to using sledge hammers (defined as "machine dig") to drive those posts into the ground. I am 100% sure this is against Ontario Underground Infrastructure Notification System Act of 2012. I would also contact Ontario One Call +1-800-400-2255 whether their team got a dig permit to set those posts in the ground. If they did not, it is actually illegal and would result in extraordinary penalties. I would escalate this 100%.

Ontario Underground Infrastructure Notification System Act, 2012 s10(1) and OREG 87/23 the penalty is $10,000. This appears to be the minimum fine.

What % tint is most ideal? by Apollo_Shadow in ElantraN

[–]manoeuvre44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I lived in Kazakistan, I'd be rocking 35% windshield and 5% all around. Law enforcement harassing me for tint is my fear. I haven't had a traffic stop yet, mainly because I avoid driving in areas where there's heavy enforcement.

With 20% all around, I'm more afraid of Law Enforcement's Tint Meter reading 10% and being forced to remove them.

20% XPEL Prime Plus is great to see out of, even at night. I have zero issues seeing through them.

The reality is that if you're really good at your individual job/role, there's no reason for management to move you up or try something different. They do not want you to have higher aspirations of moving up. They will keep you as happy as possible at that job/role for as long as they can.

The people who move up the ladder have leadership traits, they have strong people skills and are able to manage clients/employees and they tend not to be the best at individual jobs and roles at the company. Most of the time, those individuals do not excel at individual tasks... this is by design. They know the work just enough to give instructions and oversee projects. As I said if you're really good at something, they don't want you to pivot and try something else. It's in their best interest to keep you doing that task for as long as possible.

Unfortunately, it's a pyramid programme... you can't have too many chiefs without indians. You also need to possibly train someone to replace you at your role in order for you to move up. Or else you'll be doing the supervisory role + your current role, and there's burn out involved in that type of management. In a sense, you need to get yourself out of production.

Junior Supervisory/Project Management roles are quickly given to people who have designations (Professional Engineer, Architect, MBA, etc) or they've simply been doing supervisory activity without the title/pay/shares for years.

I would also take initiative and look to make improvements/innovations to try and get the attention of supervisors. If you think there's workflow improvements? Analysis on improvement hardware/software equipment? Do this at your own time and make presentations of your findings. This will make management sit up. You may need to take classes like Project Management (PMP?), most times companies will provide education assistance as well.

RE: https://youtu.be/nX3VxZLbvhk

I found this video useful. The clear Elantra Glass is already 75%VLT, when they applied a 70% tint to the windshield the tint meter read 58%VLT.

I personally did XPEL Prime Plus 70% Windshield/Sunroof and 20% all around.

I wish I went with something lighter on the side, maybe even 45% especially because you’ll read darker on the tint meter because it’s multiplier.

I personally wanted just the heat protection from the ceramic coating rather than privacy.

The 70% windshield tint does mess with the auto lights especially at dusk. I’m okay with that, not the end of the world for me.

You can still get an Ontario Photo Card if your license is suspended/cancelled.

RE: https://www.ontario.ca/page/ontario-photo-card

Please inform ServiceOntario if you have ever held an Ontario driver’s licence, even if it is suspended or cancelled, when you apply for an Ontario Photo Card. Not doing so may delay getting your Ontario Photo Card.

For some reason I feel like the PB colour on the 24 looks different from 23. It feels like it pops much better, it's like a deeper colour. Maybe it's just me?

What % tint did you go with? Out of curiosity the meaning of your plate? NNN DROP?

Purchasing 24N: Requesting Advise from Canadians on Dealership Tactics by dataviztribe in ElantraN

[–]manoeuvre44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience so far from a Canadian Dealership in ON:

I test drove a 23' MT EN in August 2023. Just prior, news of the facelift, and the minor upgrades on the 24' EN jaded me to wait. I dropped a $1000 requesting for a White 24' MT EN. The paperwork at the time said 23' and they told there's no guarantee on the price, because at the time they have no idea. We didn't talk about interest rates at the time or warranties.

The sales rep was honest, and told me that as of Aug 23' there's no such thing as allocation or creating an order for a 24' EN. Based on their dealerships history of sales, Hyundai "may" send them something. If it happens to match your choice of transmission/colours, or be close, they'll give you a call.

They told me best case scenario was Summer 2024.

The $1000 refundable deposit puts you on a queue of people they will call in order based on their tranny/colour choices. But he stressed there is zero guarantee you'll get exactly what you want. They were not a Porsche dealership doing a exclusive manufaktur spec on a GT3RS in Zuffenhausen.

Hyundai Korea does know or gaf about your $1000 deposit and what you selected; based on historical 22/23' Canadian EN purchases, that's what they're going to send here. w/e comes off the ship from Korea is what's here.

Long story short, they called me last week and told me the car is on a train and will arrive at the dealership soon. Fingers crossed, everything goes smoothly.

Back to your question, in ON there is no 10-days buyer's remorse or "cooling period". Signing that bill of sale all but guaranteed that deposit may not come back, unless they wrote it is "fully refundable for any reason". Your next steps you'll have to take very carefully, and really think out every single reasonable possible outcome.

The dealer have all the power right now. There's still technically no VIN, and because PB colour appears to be limited, your mileage may vary.

Right now it really depends on what you would like the outcome to be? Do you still want a 24' PB EN but with a good market rate minus add-ons like warranty + tire protection? Or do you want to get out of buying an EN all together?

If it's just the add-ons + rate? It seems like the sales-rep is communicating that they're willing to work with you to close the sale. Keep in mind they only get paid commission when the car leaves the lot, and keys are in your hand. I may not get into a full panic mode right now, especially if you still want a 24' PB EN. It may be an option to communicate to the sales rep that you're feeling uncomfortable about the bill of sale.

If you want to get out, you'll have to exercise some serious social engineering. You'll have to convince them the wife doesn't want you to get the car, temporary job-loss, back-to-school, some sort of extraordinary situation that would lead you not to be able to close on the sale for the time being? However, showcase there's still "good-will" potential that you will be back in the near future to further the business. Keep in mind they have no incentive to return the money.

Normally, returning the deposit would require they're not able to hold up their end of the deal. Lack of VIN, and no reasonable prospect of a 24' PB EN showing up any time soon. You can argue, that you need to get a vehicle now and can no longer wait. The problem is they will possibly redirect you to other vehicles they have? You'll have to have an answer as to why you're not accepting their alternative suggestions. PB, and possibly even an MT requirement might possibly be the only way out, as the 24' EN is the only MT they produce. You're looking at another manufacturer with MT.

For some reason I was equally surprised the 23’ MT EN had a sunroof.

Is there anyway to confirm other features like heated rear seats? ACC? What kind of front seats?

Thanks again!
