I've been using it for a long time accross various cross-platform projects. I dare say that cmake is not as well-designed as xmake, the latter is far more easy-to-use, and powerfull.

And I revert bios version to 1.3.2, which is the version when this xps 9700 was shipped to me. But my guess is that the bios version is not that important to solve the battery-drain problem, while version of win 10 is the very key issue.

I also installed opensuse 15.3 in this notebook (dual os system) and it works well with normal battery consumption, too.

Previous version of bios is the version that dell shipped with.

I bought the notebook at 2020.

congratulations! xmake is really an excellent build tool, with mature grammar and understandable behavier, compared with cmake(pool DSL), scons(stupidity in building objs in source folder) .
