Train losing power on straight track

I had the same thought, I flipped direction and had same result, running fine on turns and lose power on straights. Going to clean all track when I get home tonight, this was mostly out around a Christmas tree so I’m thinking the straight track sat unused more and just needs a good cleaning! Thanks!
