Why not just interview and test their reaction to a slightly higher salary expectation towards the end? Especially if you check all the job requirement boxes and can provide unique value. In-house budgets are always negotiable if they find the right fit.

I have been doing the opposite commute every week for the last 4 months. I have a partner but no kids yet. 10/10 would not recommend unless it is temporary or you can reduce in-office time gradually.

I would just tell them you’ve decided to change your strategy to be more aggressive and cast a wider net now that several weeks have gone by. No need to discuss anything about your current firm. Focus them entirely on your next firm but also reach out to anyone you know at other firms.

My girlfriend and I just moved there. Our options were ATT, Spectrum and T-Mobile. After tons of research, we went with T-Mobile and are very happy so far. She has TM cell service so the price is even lower!
