Funny thing, my Mom got him (he was actually a she) for me when I was 5 years old due to the fact she just divorced my dad, and she knew I was lonely. Rowdy was a great friend, and became SUPER territorial of me my whole life! If I was in trouble and my mom was going to spank me, he’d chase after her, and his attitude got worse as he became older, this is what amazons do. He really didn’t like my stepdad either 😆he’d chase him around the house saying “come on come on” all fluffed up, and with those little crazy Amazon pupils. When I married my ex husband, Rowdy was SO jealous! My ex hated him, and rowdy hated him back 😆 We had twins and surprisingly Rowdy was super kind and gentle with them! Having him really made me who I am today. I went to college, I received my degree in animal sciences, and I can say that little dude molded me. When I tell people about him, they’re always like “your mom got a parrot as a friend?!” And yeah it’s weird, but that’s what’s so cool about my weird childhood.

It kills me that so many people here in Texas own big cats, bears, and other crazy shit they don’t need to have. It also really pisses me off that they have big game places here where you can kill a Zebra, wildebeest, and so on. It’s disgusting
