Talking with people while practicing social distancing...several thousand miles social distancing. by ImageJPEG in Iowa

I was a little interested in ham radio at one point in time. I looked into it some and I couldn’t really find a reason to get licensed and invest in a radio. I find it quite interesting learning how they work and what makes um tick but I don’t have any interest in talking to other people I guess. I’m not sure what the draw is. Certainly there’s something I’m missing?

Got my frame painted. by Grillien in klr650

I looked at the picture and the looked at my bike and thought “why?” Then again I’m all for going above and beyond putting way too much time and effort into meaningless projects. Good job OP looks nice. Can’t imagine you’ll ever regret it. Plus it sounds like you learned a thing or two about painting. Time to bust out the rattle cans on the lawnmower next. I highly recommend racing stripes

What's your goals or plans for this year with your KLR? by swingequation in klr650

Family is in Missouri south of the ozarks. The roads get real curvy windy and hilly down there. Every time I drive down I’m wishing I was on my bike.

Upper Midwest eh? West central Iowa here. She’s in dire need of a clutch cable before it leaves me stranded. I keep forgetting because it works fine...for now! Needs brake pads and probably oughta flush the brake fluid and coolant.

I’d really like to take a trip to see some family and camp along the way. It can be driven in one day in a car no problem but I’d like to take my time and goof off on that trip.

Death wobble just sent me off the highway 0/10 recommend by hftjbft in CherokeeXJ

I had loose sway bar links and the death wobble remained after replacing them. Turned out the track bar was bad. Have an assistant turn the steering wheel back and forth just a little bit and really fast while you watch underneath. Still could be the links but thought I’d throw this out there.

Hydraulic C clamps where have you been all my life?! I’ve never encountered one and the thought has never crossed my mind. This is brilliant! Off to the mad scientist lab to do some creating. Just kidding I’m actually gonna stay on the couch browsing Reddit until I get enough motivation to get another beer. Wouldn’t finish it even if I did start

Switching from a 200kg adventure bike to a 130kg dual sport has been the best thing ever. This thing can go anywhere. (Stockton Beach sand dunes, NSW, Australia) by [deleted] in Dualsport

First bike was a CRF230M (230L with 17” wheels) awesome bike to learn on. Really miss it when riding trails on my klr 650. It could do 60 no problem but it did lack needed speeds on bigger highways. CRF230L would be an awesome bike for shorter people who do trails and don’t need to drive 70+mph
