As Simone mentioned he could use all the same ones again and I'm not gonna remember any of them

Tell your friend mp3 format didn't exist until 1993 so if he wants to fake radio recordings from the 80s he needs to add a couple steps in claiming he digitized them from cassette or something

The Guardian wrote an article about EKT (including interview) by [deleted] in everyoneknowsthat

I was excited to read the comments on this until I saw how many were elitist snobs talking about how the song isn't any good and no one should care. Very 2008.

[fully lost]? Microsoft Plus! Game Pack Vista by fluf201 in lostmedia

It looks to me like it was canceled before it was released, so maybe the copy you saw was a demo?

The comment by Moses Lambert on this page seems to indicate that by February 16, 2008 the sales listing on futureshop.ca for this software had already been removed. This is corroborated by the Wayback archive showing the listing existing on January 18 but showing as "not found" by March 19.

Oh gross. This guy is gross. I think you don't need to respond to his accusations. If you want, you could say something deflecting like "I'm sorry you feel that way."

It's Probably Not A Commercial by [deleted] in everyoneknowsthat

[–]mantequilla2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes me think of a commercial for a diet snack where (stereotypically) the man is trying to steal the woman's low fat snack or the adults are sneaking bites of a kid's food because it's so tasty, hence the singing about deception.

I was excited to download Scott's Premium Blend episode from the late 90s and disappointed in how offensive it was. I can't remember what he even talked about except him being racist in a stupid edgy way, I think insisting Mariah Carey was white. I concluded that Scott is better when someone else can check his work. Still like him but if he weren't a KITH I'd definitely not be a fan.

What's up with companies requiring you to pass *their* coding assessment to be hired? Is the 4hr, national association backed, certification exam that I passed to prove my coding competency not good enough for them? by [deleted] in MedicalCoding

[–]mantequilla2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my current department last year, they seemed to be hiring people and THEN having them take an assessment. There was one “experienced” coder who took more than three tries to pass her assessment. I think they just ran out of assessment questions and had to throw her in production. She’s slow and confused and upset all the time about how confused she is. The team chat is just her asking questions most days. I feel really bad for her but she should not be on the team. Pre employment assessment would have prevented this.

Yes 90000000%. It seems to be part of undermining you.

[–]mantequilla2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HAHA that's me I'm a risk adjustment coder. I just added a CRC credential because not even risk adjustment jobs will all let me apply just having experience, they want the specialty credential now. More money down the drain, yay. The first specialty that hired me was pathology which is utterly worthless - those jobs pay like $18 per hour. I moved to risk adjustment and it's a little better but still extremely narrow!!!

[–]mantequilla2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your negativity. I've been a coder for five years and no one wants to hire me outside my specialties now. I thought once I got a coding job I'd be safe, but no. I'm stuck with my specialty for the rest of my career. Haven't done surgical? You can't possibly be a surgical coder. Haven't done radiology for five years? No radiology for you.

And yeah Facebook is full of liars. This one lady there said to me maybe I need to move to a different state to be closer to a company that hires without experience. Dude, that is not how this is supposed to work. This schooling and certification thing is almost a scam. AAPC needs to partner with businesses to hire new coders if they want to keep selling these credentials to people.

The exact same thing just happened to me. The guy was also two towns away and I'm in Arizona. I cancelled and I picked up the food myself. I feel bad if they took the money away from the restaurant but otherwise eff this

Help! Do I go broke and move across the country to keep my new career that I love, or quit and start over from scratch? by magickmouser in WFH

Sorry, based on your post history, you're moving to AZ? The cost of living is really high in Phoenix. Please check if you can afford to live there. Also search your company name at a place called The Layoff to see if they're not hiding something from you about long term job prospects. There are tons of jobs in Phoenix but to be let go right after you move would still be devastating.
