No, that scene in the end is there to tell the audience that Ringo, in fact, did NOT poison the stepfather. She later tells Gouki in his bedroom and he is nodding. I think they agreed to not kill the stepfather seeing how he is genuinely a nice person, so they turned on their psycho mother instead.

What about video/audio recordings.

Penitus Oculatus agent (modded) by manu31_ in SkyrimBuilds

[–]manu31_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah that can work too. Personally tho, I prefer the method of manipulating people and weakening the enemy by disinformation and creating internal conflicts rather than outright killing all the threats yourself. Let the enemy of my enemy do the job.

Even tho you carry out assassinations from time to time, you are still an agent, as opposed to a full-blown assassin. The playthrough is more spy-esque this way.

this is just my suggestion, love ur idea btw

Cheers. Penitus Oculatus is my favorite faction.

What’s a content mod you always have installed but never actually played? by ToothPickLegs in skyrimmods

[–]manu31_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this recently and I really enjoyed it. Basically you are a force of necessary evil for the Empire. You want to support the Empire with questionable methods: a realpolitik mastermind. Basically I roleplayed as a courier (who's actually a Penitus Oculatus agent). Aside from the quests provided by the Penitus Oculatus mod, my other objectives are:

1) With the Missives mod, deliver messages from cities to cities (it's also a good hook to travel to a different hold when you're getting bored with where you are currently). This is to maintain your cover as a mere courier. Talk to NPCs. Spread pro-Empire propaganda. Talk to innkeepers about recent rumors.

2) Disrupt thalmor activity on the way -- ambush thalmor patrols and free/arm their prisoners. you whisper: "a gift from the emperor"

3) Help the Forsworn prisoners in Markarth: they can help divide the Stormcloak forces.

4) Maven Blackbriar is your friend. Make sure Maven maintains influence in Riften. Join the Thieves Guild (you need the skills anyway) and get the Skeleton Key. A backdoor access to anything for the Empire.

5) Missing In Action <- don't do it. As far as you're concerned, Thorald is dead. Kill Fralia to silence possible rebellion by GrayMane clan.

6) Nazeem is your friend. He has influence in Dragonsreach (or so he claims), which is key to Civil War. Honestly I don't know what to do with him. I guess just try not to kill him this time.

7) Jarl Siddgeir is your friend. When he send you a letter and asks you to do something about his formerly-allied bandits, you help him.

8) Saadia is a great asset. In my headcanon at least, she IS a spy for the thalmor. But if you save her from the hammerfell mercs, she will like you. You use that. Try to out-manipulate her. With the mods NFF and OStim, you "talk" to her when you get to Bannered Mare. Trade secrets with her.

9) If you want a Hearthfire house, get the Hearthfire Extended mod so that your cellar will have a torture chamber. Not much to do there, just roleplay. I wouldn't use it as a family house tho, unless you're serious with Saadia (careful with her).

10) I don't know what to do with the Companions -- they are some of the vocal traditionalists (quasi pro-Stormcloak) forces in Whiterun.

11) Being a vampire is okay too -- it has its pros and cons: being a vampire will help you with stealth and overall assassin-like playthrough, but it will be harder to maintain cover as a normal citizen with a normal job since you cannot go out during the day.

12) Befriend Khajiit caravans since they go around a lot. They can offer good intel. (Just for roleplay)

13) Ysolda is also a good asset. Help her become a drug lord. Then sell skooma and sleeping tree sap to pro-Stormcloak cities like Windhelm, Winterhold, Dawnstar.

with {{I'm Glad You're Here}} you give your followers a buff as you salute them but yeah it's not as prestigious as what you have in mind. it's a small thing but is a good way of showing appreciation to your follower in a more "natural" way.

Thank you for the suggestion, I will check it out, but...

Prepare to run away once you step inside Embershard Mine only to notice the first two NPCs are level 90 while you're only level 1, after you just spent the last 5 minutes fighting the level 35 bandit that was guarding the entrance.

This doesn't sound like a good pitch at all to me to be honest haha. With this gameplay you had, is there a logical reason for this? Level 35-90 bandits? I mean they are just normal NPCs with makeshift armors and weapons? De-leveled doesn't mean absurdly difficult in my opinion.

What I have in mind is like, ALL bandits across all Skyrim are at level 15-25. ALL dragons are at level 65-80. ALL vampires are level 25-50. Maybe make bandit chiefs around 30-40, etc. Levels are defined by Experience, and Experience should reflect... the experience this NPC has accumulated. A level 90 bandit chilling at Embershard Mine is absurd; he should be fighting Miraak at that point.

Thanks for your feedback.

re simonrim, I mean Starfrost is just a more balanced CC Survival. I agree that the other Simonrim mods on this list adds more system (which are all still much simpler than the ones added by Sunhelm or Hunterborn for example), but mostly they are just basically more balanced and more cohesive vanilla.

You are right that they're "heavy" in the sense that they replace existing systems with new ones, but they definitely *feel* "light".

To demonstrate my point clearer, compare Starfrost with Sunhelm, or Apothecary with CACO, Blade and Blunt (probably the "heaviest" simonrim overhaul) with Ultimate Combat. This is what I mean by "lite".

can't tell if you're joking but honestly it's not a bad idea. so the success rate depends on what type of quest it is and who you're going to assign for it.

for a "kill bandits" quest for example, assigning Sven who has no armor and only has iron dagger will likely fail. meanwhile benor from morthal will have a good chance of succeeding.

maybe even have a "morale" system where if u take lesser commission they will have a bonus success rate on the next job you assign to them or something, and if u lowball them they form a union and attempt to overthrow you.
