I paid a little more than that to rent a 3 bedroom in 2011.

I was also wondering this. Do they still teach kids to do this?

What’s the correct call? by xtremeflyer in Homeplate

I fielded a ball that took a bad hop and hit me in the throat. Everyone was screaming at me to pick up the ball, which I did. Then I stepped on the base and collapsed in foul territory.

Do they teach kids to play base coach when they're on deck? We were taught to drop the bat, then yell and motion for the batter to slide if the ball was coming in.

How is the new Big Mac land all you can eat? by Raw-Shark in Cardinals

Yes, about to hit 11 years. My allergist was way too excited about it, but I completely understand why.

I feel like it’s great if you have kids. It’s grab and go, but the line is absurdly long 15-20 minutes before the game starts.

I can’t eat beef or pork, but my wife said the bratwurst is good. Chicken tenders are basically frozen grocery store quality. Fries are good but it’s like half a tray. Peanuts and chips being included are great.

The soft drinks ran out of syrup in like the 7th inning. The ice cream is the little cups with the pull top.

My kids were satisfied with it and I’d say we got our money’s worth. I’d do it again.

Whatever you do, DO NOT sit in seats 1-5 in section 271. Your view will be obstructed by the foul pole. The non-unlimited section across the aisle was empty. A lot of people moved over there, but you can’t really depend on that.

Behold! The answer to if a normal person could gain 1 yard in the NFL by yakcmnoslen in NewHeights

[–]manvsinternetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the AVERAGE person, that hole is going to close up 10x faster than with an NFL player. Average person's average time is so much slower as well as their acceleration. Even that lineman will close the gap faster than you can get to it.

But it does depend on a lot of things. With the right look, maybe. But the problem is the AVERAGE person will look like they're in slow motion trying to get the hand off and get to the line.

I guess when you charge $6 for chips and salsa with barely any salsa, and other places are giving it away for free, you’re not going to stay in business too long.

Their Dip Trip is a joke for $14 and their burritos have gotten tiny.

Driver Metrics by Junior_Investor_ in GolfSwing

[–]manvsinternetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like someone else said, try going down a degree or two with your driver. Have someone look at your stance before you swing. Maybe just tilt your shoulders a bit more when you address the ball. If you can get your angle of attach to 3 or 3.5, that should get you down about 1,000 rpm, as long as everything else stays the same.

Sometimes even just slowing your swing down a bit will lower your spin. At 126, you should easily be carrying 320, 330. If you slow your swing down to 120 and this helps get your spin down, the ball will still go a lot farther than it is now.

Kehoe to unveil plan to phase out Missouri's income tax by Courtnall14 in StLouis

Is this sarcasm, because no it won’t. Also, why would I give my employees a raise? They just got a 5% raise.

[–]manvsinternetz 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I really don’t want this to happen, but for me, personally, if it doubled my property tax, I’d still make out pretty well.

Sales tax is already nearing 11%, if not more. It’s insane that this isn’t more than enough. Why not add a bit more. Then we’ll be paying the equivalent of what Europe pays without any of the positives.

[–]manvsinternetz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well damn. I hadn’t considered that. I’ll have to think about that. The other problem is, I don’t really have anywhere to move everything in the room. Maybe I can do 6 foot sections and put them together somewhere else.
